Lawro has us down to lose on Saturday. I would love to know how many points he has given us over the last two seasons. It can't be more than 10. Heres what mystic smeg had to say.....

"Ex-Tottenham player and coach Chris Hughton is going back to his old club and he has signed players to try to improve his Norwich side but I don't think they will be good enough to upset Tottenham.
Last week, Tottenham huffed and puffed against West Brom, who deserved a point after really having a go at them for the last 20 minutes, but I don't see Norwich having enough to do that.
Prediction: 2-0"

H8 LAWRO!

Maybe we need to look back at his playing days did we give him a good kicking or did a canary star mug him on the pitch something has caused the chip !

No its because in 1983 he scored a blinding own goal against norwich and he got crucified for it apparently. Would love to see a video of it!

I find this site quite forthright with the truth, and include a taster :

"Mark Thomas Lawrenson (born 2 June 1957 in Penwortham, Lancashire) was a key component in Liverpool’s greatest ever defence, but he has overshadowed that achievement by becoming one of football’s most universally unpopular pundits."

From what I've been told Hansen just passed it back to the keeper over and over to waste time, what a hero.

I think the pass back rule was brought in because of Liverpool, any one old enough to have watched them late 70's early 80's will tell you, once they scored the defence and keeper were the only players to get a touch after wards !
They were ****ing boring !

the pass back rule is one of the greatest innovations in football. completely transformed the game, more so in my opinion than money has done. difference is, the rule change has only done good for the game <ok>

its one of our 'bonus' games isn't it. any game against the top six or seven can be viewed like that. if we get a point, its a bonus point - we aren't expected to get anything from places like this.

Exactly. I don't see why people are hating on Lawro for expecting us to lose 2 - 0 to Spurs, sounds pretty reasonable to me. In the QPR game, QPR played to Barnett/Bassong's strengths by hoofing the ball up to Zamora at every opportunity hence they looked so comfortable. Spurs won't do that and will give a much sterner assessment of our CBs!
