I agree with Erik about Bruce Jr. also about the fact we are more negative and crap to watch now than we were under the two previous managers. It could change around if he decides to beach the formation, do something about Prozzy and his slowness to adapt and go with players who are likely to score rather than suit a system that doesn't or isn't working.
OK Erik, A good point well made. I've just had a long hard think and i'm back onside. Team Erik, Yes we can!
Carnt believe this thread got so much reaction, surley he needs more time and prob more money, its a strong league this year so not only do we need to buy some quality players to get us higher than last season we've also got Blackburn, Bolton etc to contend with and get a team close to theirs. Who would we get if he did go as i remember quality managers were'nt beating the doors down for the job, he was the stand out applicant amongst some very average managers. Looking back Dave Jones should have got it instead of Barmby but we tried to do it on the cheap and unless we buy some quality players we'll be going for the play offs on the cheap again
I can't agree with the 5-3-2/3-5-2 - we need 2 proper strikers on the pitch, with Stewart and Aluko on the wings - and Stewart has been playing far too well to be given the job of benchwarming. We need a couple more wingers in and then we can stick to your average 4-4-2.
Get rid of the fat geordie bastard as soon as possible. The worst manager Sunderland ever had. I think a lot of Hull supporters have quickly realised the bloke is tactically inept. If you don't get rid you will be in a relegation battle. This is not wumming it's a fact.
Niall Quinn Howard Wilkinson & Steve Cotterill Mick McCarthy Roy Keane Were all average, yet you have a go at Bruce, who helped you finish midtable comfortably.
Ah but they don't have the one utterly pointless and discursively boring character flaw that blinds the Sunderland fookwits to any reasonable debate (Schhh I'll say it quietly) THEY ARE NOT GEORDIES! Bruce could have won the league and the FA Cup double but this aspect of his being would never be forgiven. Bizarre...
Bruce got millions to spend of the owner bought rubbish at totally over the odds prices. We played away with no forwards in one game because he was worried about the attacking prowess of Brighton. However, he was the most popular man in Newcastle.
Too many DI****s on this forum for me ! ! I give up and will leave it all to the morons on this site to vent their bile, when the person can't respond ! Before I leave this site for good----who do the moaners wish for?
Don't let them get to you matey. It's just that the Crow Man hasn't got around to making them all thinking heads yet.
Was Niall Quinn the first manager under the owners that gave Bruce the cash or was he the manager before they took over and then stepped up to chairman or whatever his title was? Roy Keane of course was starved of cash the whole time he was with you.
Tbh when I started this thread I expected 4 replies telling me to ****off Not 10 pages of serious discussion. Lmfao
You're obviously mellowing in your old age if you're attempts at wumming aren't being seen as that controversial.
No Bruce got the cash via Ellis Short then wasted £13 million on Gyan. Ipswich had agreed to buy him for £2 million!!!. He bought Whickham, who is rubbish, A korean who is hopeless and brought Elmohaady to the club (he has no footballing ability whatsover). Hull should sack him now before its too late. The one bright point of his reign was a 3-0 away win at Chelsea. The next week he had all those players available and changed the team. The bloke is incompetent.
