Dont try and put me down, why say it in the first place or even reply on this thread if you didnt mean what you were trying to say. Look we have had our differences in the past. You obviously dont like what i have to say, and personally i dont give a damn, and most of the time i dont like what you have to say. So why dont we just leave it at that.
you're one aggressive little terrier arent you! look i'll stick to supporting and you stick to 'entertainment'. i hear they play great football in swansea, perhaps that would suit your needs better......
For me its all about the result No, I'd hate to sit through the Huddersfield performance every week but I'd take the result all day long (cant comment on the other 2 games because I wasn't there) If we play some decent stuff in the process (which I am confident will come sooner rather than later) then, for me, thats a bonus. Winning ugly or winning pretty...same amount of points. Even though we played pretty crap I still left the CCS with a smile, as did many others. Although playing the 'get out of jail' card in the first game wasn't in the script...you have to play it some time. Way too soon to be writing MM or the season off yet as far as I'm concerned....each to their own though...its all about opinions
You know what they say about opinions thougth H...... .....just like arseholes.... ...everyone has one, but you don't have to share it with everyone.
you're the one that cant discuss something without resorting to abuse and expletives. therefore although i may be younger than you, you're the one who's acting like a petulant little infant.
Come on guys, let it go. We get enough grief from outside our board so don't need any infighting. You both have strong opinions and won't always agree but as this is essentially a discussion forum that will always be the case.
I think you guys will do just fine this season. Don't panic, you have one of the best squads in the league. You caught us at a bad time - our confidence was sky high after Tuesday and our strikers know they have to perform now otherwise they will be warming the bench as we have 5 strikers who are decent at this level. You can't judge your season until after 10 games. I personally think we will be more lower mid-table this season unless we sign a quality centre back by tomorrow. I think you will be top 6 comfortably. You have a promising young manager who is getting financial backing. The team will gel and you will climb the league table. Remember where both of out clubs have come from in recent years - the lower reaches of the football league. We should both be grateful we are in the Championship and have decent financial backing. Good luck for the rest of the season!
Cheers Matt You were always bound to turn us over at some stage but it was the way we lost that has caused most concern. Malky has reacted by buying Noone from Brighton and Sky says we are after your ex-player Maynard from West Ham. A good player if he can stay fit. Could be a loan rather than outright buy. There is a rumour you are after Monk from Swansea - a good centre back at Championship level. See you at CCS later in the season.
Cheers Blue, Noone is a very good signing. Have always been very impressed by him. I'm suprised Malky hasn't strenghthened your back line though? Thought he may bring in additional defensive cover. Maynard is more than capable at this level and although he left with a sour taste in the mouth I still wish him all the best wherever he's at because he is a good pro and would be a very good addition for you. I suppose he's very much like Sam Baldock in style of play. I would be happy with Monk and maybe we could rotate him and Carey to play alongside Fontaine. I think Nyatanga's days are numbered which is a shame because he was such a good prospect when he burst onto the international stage. Yes I will be at CCS later in the season, hoping for a good game but not holding out much hope on the result! We have to get something there sooner or later though! I will be at CCS next Friday for Wales v Belgium - hoping we can put in a campaign Speed would have been proud of!
Matt I'll be there too. Very true although the vibes on Coleman are not good. A lot of Cardiff fans don't like him because he is from Swansea and a lot of Swansea fans aren't too keen either. He hasn't has a good start but then neither did Speed. We need to be a bit patient but with the WC qualifiers coming thick and fast he doesn't have much time. With Hennessey, Collinson, Ledley and Vaughan out injured he cannot afford drop outs from the higher profile players. Belgium will be a stiff test as they have half a dozen or so players now performing at a very high level in the Prem. Should be a good game and I hope we have a near sell out.
Yeah I'm reserving judgment on Cookie for now. I still don't think he has had the benefit of playing the key quartet of Bellamy, Bale, Ramsey and Allen at the same time because of friendlies and agreements with parent clubs etc. Do you know how long Ledley and Vaughan is out for? I prefer either of those two to Crofts in centre mid. I know Hennessey is out for at least 4 games
Ledley has a groin injury so should be out for the next 2 Wales games only. Can't find anything on the length of Vaughan's absence. Vaughan is my preference as he keeps the ball well and ensures everything ticks over - a good partner for Allen. Our main problem though is the lack of a reliable striker. Morrison tries hard, chases well and puts opponents under pressure but is a little slow and can be like a chicken with its head cut off in front of goal. Vokes and Church are not as good as him. Earnie comes a long way down the list and is unlikely to be with us at Cardiff much longer. He should bite the bullet, drop a division and get regular games. Easter, don't make me laugh. Where is there a Rushy, Sparkey or Dean Saunders when we need him? Now what's a Newport lad like you doing supporting the Wurzels?
Haha good question Blue! My old man is a Wurzle but I was born in the Royal Gwent and still live there! Can't escape the city! Although I am looking to move up up Monmouthshire way with my partner soon. I guess dad got me down to Ashton Gate before anyone from mums side tried to sway me lol. It would probably seem strange to most but because one half of my family are Cardiff fans I do have a little soft spot there plus being a Welsh club I hope you do well because it is in the better interests of Welsh football as a whole. So, although I'm technically half English I am definitely Welsh when it comes to international football. I also hope County can keep their form up and get back into the league along with Wrexham and we can have 4 Welsh clubs back in the football leagues. Again agree about Vaughan. Vaughan, Allen and Ramsey is definitely our best three in midfield with Bale and Bellamy playing as attacking wingers. I personally quite like Morison but it would be nice to have that natural goalscorer a la Rush, Sparkey and Deano!
Ah well, let you off then. Someone has to go to the dark side. Looks like West Ham have accepted our £2.5m bid for Maynard and we now have to persuade him to come to us.
That's where the sticking point maybe for you. We accepted a bid of 6 million last summer from Leicester (6 bastard million!!!) and he failed to agree terms with them. He wants Premier League football now so he may chance his arm at West Ham. I don't think he's Premier League quality to be honest. He's a top draw Championship striker who is capable of consistently scoring around 20 goals a season and would do well for you if you can persaude him. That's where he left the sour taste - he refused to go to Leicester for 6 million and then left us for 1.5 in January and claimed his family received abuse from our fans and said he didn't want his son growing up with a Bristolian accent lol. I wish him nothing but the best and he apparently urged Baldock to sign for us over other clubs because he rated McInnes highly and thought he was in the process of building something special here. We shall see...
Swampy as far as I can see you started this one and if this is how your going to behave I am glad your not a mod
rubbish, i stated that someone who goes to a football ground to be entertained isnt a fan, and so far i've been called an arsehole and horrible for stating my point of view. if you read back the thread then the aggression comes from 'isawronnymoorescore'. he sees something he doesnt like and then the toys fly out the pram and insults start. not going to waste anymore time discussing this.
