    The Deadline Date.

I have some concerns about reaching the deadline date without loosing any
    of our 1st team squad,
I know many have voiced opinions about "Demps",and its rather sad the way
things have turned out,but lets face it where can we find a late replacement with
his ability, and possiblymove to what club "Sunderland",in his heart with current events ,I bet
he wishes he could turn the clock back a couple of months.
And of course the Dembele situation, any club can make a bid for our players and we tend to roll over.
"oh spurs will go for MD for about12/15mil,(reporter speak).does anyone really think
Moderic is worth 12/ 15mil more.

Take Huddersfield for example,as yet they have not budged on price or willingness to sell,
Jorden Rhodes this may change before Friday, but if a club whose finances must be much lower
than ours seems to think that future ambition, is more important than an instant 30 pieces of silver

Should Spurs want our man Dawson + 10mil.

I said a few months ago that I dreaded if Dempsey and Dembele were to be sold it
was going to be a last minute transfer, when the other clubs hadn't been able to get their
    first choice players.
I hope the club may have a few loan signings in the pipeline just in case.

Reports have been that both transfers could involve cash and player exchange
Looks like for Dempsey it's Sunderland or Liverpool.
But there aren't any Sunderland players I'd really want, at a stretch may be Bardsley
but we don't really need a right back. Same with Kerian Richardson, don't need him.
The ones you would want like Sessegnon, Larsson, McClean will not be for sale.
Again a Liverpool swap, the only one I'd take would be Joe Cole. but his wages
    would be a problem.
Downing would be better than Richardson.
Personally I'd get the money for Dempsey and then take a chance on Rhodes.

For Dembele it could be Tottenham or ManU
So for me it would be
From Tottenham Defoe and Huddlestone, but Dawson not for me, don't rate him.
Definitely don't want any of their rejects like Bentley, Jenas or Santos.
The players I'd want like Valencia or Chicharito wouldn't be let go,
Ferguson will try to give us Anderson, Macehda or Bebe (if they haven't been sold off?).

Dembele: Cash £12-15m + players. Tottenham: Huddlestone. Man U: Anderson. All the rest are dead wood I think and not of the similar capability.

Dempsey: Cash £10-12m and throw the money to Rhodes or someone like Fletcher.

So aside from the doom and gloom, does anyone anticipate any late signings? I reckon we'll see one midfielder and one striker come in.

Tony Gale today rated Dembele around £25m and I agree with him. He has everything going for him. He's young, regular international, PL experience and has proven both for club and country that he can cut it against the big boys. Why should we accept £15m? Especially if there is a clause to extend his contract for another year.

I'd much rather give the £33mill back and keep Luka. Dembele's a great player but he won't fit as well into our team as Modric did and he's in his last year of contract isn't he? I guess that would affect his price significantly

That said he'd still be my first choice to "replace" Modric and I really hope we get him. Whatever happens in the coming days I hope you don't end up with another player throwing a hissy like Dempsey(and Modric did for us... twice), with so many doing it these days it'd be nice to see a player act like an adult over a potential transfer.

I was surprised when QPR bid for Dawson that you guys didn't go in for him as I know Jol always rated him and I do too, I'd have him as one of our first choice centre backs and possibly captain. Perhaps he was wary of giving us an opportunity of getting Dembele before Modric was sold.

Anyway, good luck with the rest of the season and reclaiming your spot at the top of the table <ok> :D

Oh right, hadn't heard that you had a clause to add an extra year. Some papers seem to think he's got a buy out clause of around £15mill though.

Both are only rumours, although the likelihood is that we do have a one-year-extension option, otherwise we'd hear of a contract being offered (and then rejected, presumably) and he'd probably be touted to more clubs.

I think we're pretty strong at centre back, we've got three solid CBs in H & H and Senderos (don't laugh!) and youngster Dan Burn is coming through too. Briggs is also apparently a centre back as well.

I think you signing M'Vila might have a bearing on signing DemPele...

We'd rather you'd kept Modric as well YV so you hadn't come sniffing around Dembele. Question is whether Dembele would leave Fulham for a club that can't offer him Champions League football or hold out to see if Man Utd come back for him in January or this time next year. I get the feeling he's willing to bide his time at Fulham if he doesn't think it's the right move for him. He'll leave sooner or later, though, I think we're all resigned to that.

I think we could do with another CB Bids, Hughes probably won't be a first team member next season due to his age, which I why the club are sniffing around Douglas. We have a tall strong CB who is good in the air in Hangeland, we need another who is quick on his feet.

Yeah, you're not wrong. I guess I'm just really up for seeing Burn come through the ranks.

Notwithstanding yesterday's chat Bandit, I am totally with you. Also with Bidley and very anti taking other's cast offs in part exchange unless they themselves are young and have themselves a re-sale value - which doesn't apply to the likes of Dawson. Much better to invest next year bringing on Dan Burns.

Just heard on 5live that Jol has confirmed we've accepted an offer from spurs for Dembele and he's been given permission to speak to them. Not sure of the price yet though

    Not enough.

We're always hearing that Fulham do business quietly, well I hope to hell they have some surprises up their sleave cos I've not heard of anyone we.ve made enquiries about that will provide the creative quality we'll need. Days to go - 3

    Bloody Fulhamish !!
