You my friend are talking absolute bollocks. If you took the time out to watch him for a sustained period you would be astonished at the extent to which he gets up and down the pitch and is back defending.

Agree with that Godders. Trouble is his body language makes it liook as if he's taking things easy even when he's working hard.

Bad Guly.

That's the worst thing you can do when you drive is to drink while being under the influence of alcohol.Well done police.

Sorry if I'm being stupid. But I can't see why everyone on here rates him So highly. Will someone actually say what he is good for? He has a terrible first touch, can't cross, never sprints with the ball and loses the ball more often than anyone else.

This exception could arise one day. We could evolve and develop wings which would enable us to fly. Also I think, well hope, that you are smart enough to realise what I meant so being pedantic doesnt get you anywhere.

Guly is not a wide player, he is better suited to playing where Lallana is at the moment, but Lallana is playing well and Guly is a better option that Steevie and Chaplow. So Guly is being a total pro and playing out of position for the team, going to your point, he may envolve into a wide player but you would not like to see that happen. If Ramirez or another wide player comes in then im sure that you will get your wish and Guly will be on the bench. I´m sorry but your way of thinking is why Le Tiss only played for his country 8 times. Guly has played well in the last 2 games and is an important and flexible member of the squad

He does have some moments where he gets frustrated and perhaps punches out of games but for the most part he is one of the harder workers on the team. And also probably one of the best at dribbling out from under trouble. One reason he loses the ball a lot is because everyone else plays simple passes and its he and Lallana that are asked to make something special happen. The other reason is that because he works hard in midfield, he gets the ball a lot. After all, you have to first possess the ball to lose it.

Booing him is ridiculous because there are times where Guly plays with more passion than anyone on the pitch, and if he were to get a positive response from the crowd I think he would really respond.

BUT while I like Guly, the problem is that he really doesn't have a role.

Optimally, he should be coming off the bench for any of the forward/midfield positions doing whatever needs to be done that particular game. Whoever is having a bad game can be taken off, or he can come in as a midfielder if Saints need offense or replace a forward if they need defense. That sort of flexibility would be a huge asset.

But unfortunately the way it's been up to now, he gets thrown on in a right midfield role which probably least suits his abilities.
