I never want Arsenal to win. Ever. 'Pool is a comical distraction for me, but Arsenal is the business end of seriousness for me. The best result would be a 0-0 draw, because that way Arsenal would still have scored no goals, plus they won't have made too much ground over us if, in the unhappy event, we should lose. If it cannot be 0-0, then 1-0 to 'Pool would be my next preferred result. As SD says, 'Pool are not seen as a threat to us, whereas Arsenal always are.
I never said Liverpool were a threat to the top four, I found it funny that some spurs fans think they are a threat to Arsenal, the biggest club in London.
I agree last year they were a threat, but this year their squad is considerably weaker, and they have a worse manager in my opinion. Therefore I don't think they are as nailed on for the top 4 as they were last season. Equally I think Arsenal are weaker this year, but you just know they'll be there or there abouts. This will probably all change this week with lots of ins and outs at all clubs, so there ain't a lot of point speculating until we see the completed squads.
No, they have a point. Arsenal finished a massive 1 point ahead of us and have since lost their main player, replacing him with dross. How dare we think we can compete with them.
Same could be said for Rodgers. What has he ever done in his career? He didn't implement the 'Swansea system', Martinez did. Funnily enough, when Rodgers actually did try to implement a 'Tiki Taka' system it failed badly.
Who mentioned Liverpool? We are talking about spurs being a threat to Arsenal. I love the Chav selective reading syndrome.
You can hardly call Tottenham that much weaker can you? RVP leaving will have a bigger effect on Arsenal than it will with Modric leaving spurs. Where are the goals going to come from for Arsenal?
Lads, can we please stick on topic? This is a thread about 'Pool and you Mousers. It is not a thread about Spurs, Arsenal or the Chavs. If you cannot stick on topic, I am going to ask the mods to start deleting posts. I don't want to have to do that, but I will not let this thread be hijacked by petty squabbles over non-'pool/Mouser debate. NOTE TO SPURS POSTERS: please ignore Mouser/Chav comments that attempt to derail this thread by engaging you in arguments along the lines of "so what have Spurs ever done, etc." It doesn't matter what the Mousers think of us, as recent history tells its own story. Please reserve this thread for making comments only on 'Pool and the Mousers. The best thing, I find, is to talk at the Mouser, not to him; and the best way to do that is to report what you read in the media, and then make you own comment on it; or respond frankly to something that someone else has reported in the media. Do NOT respond to Mouser comments, which will tend to be along the line of the immature "so what have Spurs ever done, etc" variety. That way, you will remain on track. Thank you for listening.
I believe you are a Manure fan, so I'm quite happy to talk to you about last season if you like. Or even spurs fans I'm willing to chat about last season. Ended on a particularly entertaining note for both of you, from my point of view. In fact I've only just stopped laughing in the last few days.
Suarini, this thread is about 'Pool and you Mousers. It is not about any other team. If you want to start a discussion about another team or another topic, please start your own thread on that topic.
