Check this Dave...Castle Morton 1992 (free festival....Glasters used to be like this before it became a corporate marketing/fleecing exercise). This was my Woodstock <laugh> it went on for a week and boy did the government clamp down on "illegal" festivals after this <doh> kuntz....you can't do it if it's free.....but it's fine to do it if someone can charge you a hundred notes for the privilege.

Glasto was always good for me. Living where I do, I could always get free passes (all areas). I know all the back lanes/tracks so I could drive there and didn't have to camp. A mate of mine's company ran the cocktail bars backstage so all the booze was free (and food). But I would have loved to have been at Woodstock

Best times of my life were jumping fences at Glasters (never paid once myself )

I remember one year strolling around the perimeter in no particular rush and this family of crusties just whipped out a rope ladder from their bag :bandit: we were just standing applauding and laughing so they let us go over first (no doubt in case there was anyone the other side of the fence).

The year after that my bro (stupidly) chucked his tent over before we could see what/who was on the other side...needless to say we had to share my tent for the weekend as his had been swiped

Happy days
