Pretty sure our deal with Nike is also old and gets renewed on 2014. There has even been talk about possibly changing it, with Adidas.

One of Gazidis' jobs is to get us new sponsors which fair play he is doing.The reason we have crap deals is because we were desperate for money for the new stadium.The deals with Indesit,Carlsberg etc are all improvements on what we had before

Agreed bear, it seems the issue of not wanting to lose him after a year (that is if we want him to stay) could be a deal breaker.
 
Jamie Sanderson of YoungGunsBlog tweeted that the clubs are still talking... nothing new to report. Arsenal want to try and get the end of loan purchase fee lowered. Still haggling. Marca believe lfc have offered Sahin a better deal. That is all.

It's his agent ramping up fees. "Latest reports from Spain however, suggest that Şahin's agent Reza Fazeli has been holding last minute talks with Liverpool over the possibility of making a late switch to the Reds. "

It will just be him scaring you guys into finalising the deal asap I suspect

zGazidis is not incompetent, he just cares about the books first and foremost when negotiating, while Dean cared about football. With Gazidis it feels like "we need to fight for that 2 extra millions" not "we need to fight for this player". With Dean it was "screw these 2ln, we need this guy". With Gazidis it is "screw this guy".
