Ranger74, not many gloating on here. We have been pretty ecstatic because the result was as unexpected for us as it was for you. I and many others expected a tough game given the results between the two teams in recent times. I think the optimists (good to see) had us down for a win but most of us would have gladly taken a draw before the game.
That we laid a bogey team to rest was great but the scoreline left us gob-smacked if we're honest. I think our reaction was as much relief as anything. With a new manager and three new players in the starting line-up, we were a bit apprehensive to say the least and, consequently, the result saw an outpouring of emotion on this board which is as far removed from gloating as you can get. Just relief and joy that we might be in for a good season.
Many decent Rangers' fans have come to our board to congratulate us and we have paid them their due respect. The few who did otherwise were answered in kind. Good enough for them. So, gloating? No. Just happiness with the realisation that we have taken a successful first step in our attempt to survive in this great league.
As for Jack Army, if his posts are dragging our good name down, I guess our Mods will have a word.
