Exactly why I never rush to love players we are linked to anymore. Never as clear as it may appear. It shows we have the money whether we buy this player or not, so we can just move on if needs be.

I say go get him, and as quickly as possible, before Everton manage to stumble up the cash to make a bid. He's young, has fantastic potential, a great shot on him and is rather pacey n'all. Tears us apart everytime he plays against us as well so at the very least it'll stop that from happening again.

This Ramirez deal is obviously going to drag on and there are no guarentees it'll even get sorted before the window slams shut, just look how long the Buttner saga dragged/is dragging on - so for now, go out and get Phillips, he's clearly interested if he's handed in a TR, and worry about Gaston later.

One media outlet reporting problems with the deal, Liverpool fans trying to find anything although apparently Liverpool never actually got past the bid. Although like people have said before.. unless its on the OS.

To be honest, if this was happening to another team and I was looking at the situation, it would seem the player seems keen, the clubs seem keen, but the only minor hitch is the fee and whether we match their valuation.

But as a fan, there is always that nervous feeling that it could go tits up.
