    not saying sign him, but Sinclair has refused to sign a new contract and may be offloaded before being a free agent. Swansea may be really struggling this season

    bollocks. How could the president not have the final say on whether they should accept the fee or not. Surely he would've heard about it and had something to do with accepting the bid in the first place. Surely he is the only person who can accept/not accept the fee.

    Maybe he's pandering to the fans? "oh i've been forced into this by the player oh no" like leeds chairmen does when he sells his best players. That's very optimistic thinking though.

    Does seem odd. He must have known about the offer, Ramirez did seem pretty open talking to the press unless everything was done but pen to paper though.
