Great own goal by the Aussies but also 2 great goals as well the aussie strike was top drawer and Rhodes just keeps on scoring for fun
we need something to keep us happy while waiting for a glass of wine in here what you need is a decent barmaid
So, i got the bike trainer sorted, thanks to my friend..and thought i'd jump on it this morning, and couldn't work out why the gears wouldn't work. i don't know much about bikes so decided the bike must have been broken....i forgot i had to flip the clip up on the trainer to make the wheel run against it...duh! Ah well, i start again tomorrow! Oh gawd, did someone mention tomorrow?? Or actually today.....results day....i'm sure he's done ok, Master H just isn't sure he's done enough..fingers are tightly crossed, and prayers have been said!
My apologies to any of our Irish bretheren on here, but I found this rather funny: http://www.tastefullyoffensive.com/2012/08/irish-olympic-sailing-commentary.html
Mixed here too...we got ABB, but he needed AAB...so now we're waiting til the University decides whether it can offer him a place or not ...it's been a long day already...and it could be that we won't know til tomorrow. Meanwhile, he can't go into clearing unless he declines the place, which he really doesn't want to do..and he won't get his second choice until he's turned down..so we're playing the waiting game. He's very positive though, he's decided it's a win win. If he gets the place, he'll go and have a great time...if he doesn't, he'll take a year off and have a great time. I think i'm struggling with this far more than he is...just don't tell him that, okay? lol
I've got this issue next week when pie gets his GCSE results. His current school doesn't do A levels, so he has to go to a different school. It's a semi-private school (it does get some funding from Education) and the only issue is whether he does Further Maths or not. To be able to, he needs to get an A* - an A means that he can't but he'll still be doing Maths, Physics, Chemistry and ICT. The colours of his new school are black and yellow!
We have it all again next week Barry, GCSE results for us too! Not sure my heart can take it! He got into Leeds!!! Dropping Economics to do a Politics degree. I can't describe my happiness right now! Glad i didn't get him up at 6.30am to start looking at the UCAS site, this has been the worst morning of my life! lol
I suspect that quite a few of our current politicians did exactly the same as the economy seems to be totally beyond them. Congratulations to him - the only downside for him being the close proximity to Elland Rd.
Hi Yorkie Indeed .... I use a different site now .... but thought I might would just say hello & see if OFH had a bottle of red open How are the family & the sheep?
Hornette--Leeds is a very good university with an excellent reputation for politics. My neighbour just graduated (with a first) in politics from Leeds and speaks very highly of it.She did options in European politics. I helped her with some of her essays, and I was very impressed by the scope of topics covered, the support from tutors, the marking standars and the feedback they gave to students.Opportunity to study abroad in her case too. Relax. He is in a good place.
