Just thought the Gas should take note of the response of our South Bristol neighbours to the reallity of competitive football. When all of the bluster is put aside the truth comes out and sometimes causes pain. Have a read of some of the comments made by our neighbours about last nights performance in a match against a team from the fourth division. cidered abroad.......Will we please all revise our optimistic dreams for this season. These so called 'professionals' of ours should give up their wages to charity this week! I would encourage Gas fans to stay behind our team and give them all the support possible. OK we are in the fourth and deserve to be until we can dig ourselves out of it. Having lost two consecutive games to Div Four opposition, perhaps our Red colleagues should take a good look at how fortunate they are not to be in a similar position!!
Well im not exactly confident of promotion this season, but I know I will get behind the lads regardless. A good start, and some more signings will get us all up for it im sure.

And I respect yours Wiz. I cant always say I always agree with them, as you have clearly felt with reference to the negative comments your guys posted on your Board. We take the flack posted by your folk with regard to our current status. We hope you will accept our comments when your doubters promote such negative crap. Anyway enjoy your football this year. At the very least it can only be one step worse than last year.
No, not bitter ROD. Its all very well taking the juice over the status of the two clubs, but in reality at the moment the status of Bristol football is in the doldrums, with both clubs playing at or close to a level of Div Four football. We need to get behind the clubs and promote a more positive atmosphere and have patience and faith in our management teams.We might then see good quality players wishing to join our clubs and as a result get back to watching reasonably successful teams. Obviously guys like Wiz and CJS and others of course, are passionate about their clubs, and may even view things through rose coloured spectacles, but even they cannot be expected to be satisfied with what is being put in front of them at the moment. Also unlike others I know, I do not go to a match to watch the visiting 'big club', I want to see success for my team!

I'd be delighted if I were a Ted (shudder). If they do, through some miracle, finish above 24th, they would have exceeded expectations.
