After three long, long months the football season is upon us once more, and with it comes the Canaries Prediction League - possibly a more exciting contest than the Premier League itself, I'm sure you'll all agree. This is the CPL for the game played on Saturday, August 18th at Craven Cottage, K.O 3p.m. With a new season comes a brand new scoring system, so here it is: 1 point just for predicting. 3 points for getting the result correct (e.g. win, draw or loss). An extra 5 points for getting the scoreline correct (e.g 2-1 Norwich). 3 points for getting the first scorer correct, 1 point if selected player scores later in the game. And 2 points for correctly guessing the attendance (but that's only for home games, so don't worry about that just yet), +/- 100. As always, the final game of each month shall be a double points round, but we needn't worry about that just yet. Hucks, apologies, but I swear when I first read your new rules, I'm convinced it said attendance, both home and away There is no sign of edit from you, so unless you edited it within a couple of minutes, and I saw it immediately, then you're right, too much malt maybe!
I have a confession dave... That is what it said originally, but, judging by the time of your post and the speed with which I changed it, I didn't think you'd seen. By all means stay on the malt! The reason I changed it was because, when it came to predicting, I couldn't be arsed to check Fulham's average attendance for last season. I figured a lot of people would be the same!
