    If we are aiming to be playing European football in the not too distant future then we have to prepared to offer bigger wages and pay over the odds on some transfers, as in this day & age, especially in the premier league, it´s the only way to bring in top quality players and build a team good enough to compete for the top 6.

    25K a week isn't really that bad these days. If you think that our top players are already earning between 15-20K a week, 25-30K is the next step up for attracting top players. The people who are quick to dismiss the deal might be wrong, you just never know in football.

    I swear part of the Lee deal was that now we're in the Premier League he's on 30k a week and he's not even in the first team. 25k wouldn't be bad, we need to offer big wages to get the top players and I'd imagine Lambert and Lallana are on roughly the same. If we're afraid to get a top wage earner in then we aren't going to progress much, it's the nature of the game.
