That's true about the interchanging <ok> I just put Suarez on the right as that's where he plays for Uruguay and they seem to get the best out of him <ok>

I don't know enough about Sahin to comment on him, but Ramirez does look good, his free kick that he scored in the Olympics was great <ok>

But they have a more natural CF while if we have Borini, Suarez, Downing/dempsey/ramirez then there is no natural 9 in there but players who like to float and interchange. Once we get the style down and learn the little idiosynchrises this is going to be lethal but I expect some breakdown at times due to the floating.

Well, I for one hope it comes true. Seems like a quality player and only 21.

Btw, how reliable is your sauce?

For me this is getting old. If people disagree because of his age then fine. He scored 22 goals last year, what more do we want when one of our problems is scoring? for cheap as well if we can get adam in the deal.

If you look at the rest of career though hes never scored anything like that amount and only ever been in double figure 3 times and that includes his 3 years stint in the MLS! He's hardly prolific! Was last season a one off?? who knows only time will tell.

Exactly. He's not exactly a proven striker (I know he plays mid, but the way people bang on about his goals you would think he's a striker). Last season watching Fulham, a lot of their play was lump it to Dempsey and hope for the best. Naturally over an entire season he's going to score loads, it's a big fish in a little pond syndrome. His stats over his entire career are not THAT impressive.

In fact, a player who has had a similar career is Charlie Adam and I don't think he's done very well in the step up?

Hopefully this Ramirez deal rumour is true, that would be great.

  14. I can''t see us signing three more players. I reckon one more will be the lot, any other in comings will depend on players leaving <ok>

If we can add Dempsey and Ramirez, then I think our attack will be pretty much complete. The problem still remains - there is a lack of pace in our team, bar Sterling. Suarez is pretty nippy but not blistering and the same applies to Ramirez. I can see the rumours on Walcott and A Johnson continuing.

Also, I would be extremely happy if we got Sahin. He is like a left footed Alonso (not as good obviously) or an extremely talented Charlie Adam. He would be the closest replacement to Alonso since his departure and would compliment Allen and Lucas. If that were to happen, then I can see Gerrard being shifted to the front 3 ...

Dempsey has actually been a good player for the last 3 seasons for Fulham, his game has not soley been focused on goals. He has a good eye for a pass and gets into great positions which require intelligence...something he has plenty of. By no means the best player out there, but one of the best who we can realisticaly get that is proven in the PL.

Sahin we don't need, Tello might be lightweight. Would prefer someone who has played regularly such as Ramirez, A Johnson has proven that he can handle the PL and would also be a good signing.

Agree about Dempsey but not AJ I'm afraid <ok> think he still has a whole lot to prove...and if he wants to prove himself he won't spend another year on Citehs nice comfy looking bench.

What if he decides to take a pay cut in search of first team football at Liverpool? Would you be happy with that?
