I had my suspicions the other day when i saw a picture from the first team at the training camp and thought i could see a picture of Podolski wearing shorts with the number 9 on them. And today Arsenal.com have added a video of the first team training, which when you click on the video (before actually clicking the play button in the middle) a picture of Podolski will come up and it clearly shows him wearing the training kit with number 9 on it where as previously he had had no number.

Looks like Park is departing Arsenal.

Which No. 9 from 10 years has actually succeeded here?
Park, Baptista, Reyes, Jeffers....not a really illustrous list. Hopefully Podolski can change that.

I thought Reyes was excellent for you - Didn't he just get homesick? As for jeffers...I'm convinced he put wenger off buying players over 20 yrs old for years ... how did he screw up his career so badly?

That, and he was too ambitious too soon.

I also think he did very well when he played. He ended up being used as a sub too often though, so that is why he wanted out.

    Who Reyes ?

He wanted out because he was homesick and couldn't stand the English weather. Not because he was used as a sub. If anything, he was become one of our best players.
