Two In And One Out

I've heard from quite a reliable source that Martin Emnes and Curtis Davies will be NCFC players by the end of August but Hoolahoops will be departing (and Vaughn is going nowhere).
Sad to be losing Wes but would be well happy with the other two - Your thoughts.
(Superman may already hold this info. as per my prediction that Holt would be signing a new contract))

 

Would be happy with a Davies and Turner partnership.

Marvin Emnes? Not fussed either way to be honest. Not a player I'd of targeted but that doesn't necessarily mean he won't deliver at this level.

 

Any clues to your 'reliable source' ?

 

I like the idea of Emnes, on his day he can be a total handful and has a reasonable goal scoring rate.

I, for one, would not be surprised if Wes was making way to bring in some others. I felt for most of last season he would be one of the likely candidates to leave this summer, a feeling that grew after signing Howson & Snodgrass.

 

I would be sad to lose Hoolahoops, he sometimes has that ability to conjure something different which you need in the prem.

 

Curtis Davies would be great, though not sure where that would leave Ryan Bennett as it could delay his development and Emnes would present a good back up option for striker. Shame to see hoolahoops go though, and seems like his pre-season has been pretty good by all accounts and on his day he can be unplayable.

 

While that is true I felt there were too many games where he was anonymous. Now that may not have been of his doing and could have been down to formation, tactics etc but for me he just didn't show what he is very capable of often enough.

 

Is hoolahan leaving or is this just an unsubstantiated rumour?

 

As much as I love Wes he can run himself into corners - my cousin calls him "One More Wesley" as he always tries to beat one player to many. I always thought we looked unbalanced last year when he and Surman played together and with Surman signing an extended contract it could be the end for Wes.

I hope not as he can be unplayable on his day and there's far more positives to Wes than negatives but I guess if we have to trim the squad then it may be his time.

If Emnes comes in will that spell the end for Chrissy too ?

Would seem odd from the outside to buy another CB, but then there will be injuries / lack of form so not always benett and turner

While I find fussy eaters a pain in the arse, (it's food for God's sake some just tastes better than others eat the ****ing stuff), I find certain condiments i.e. brown sauce, sweet pickle and ketchup, absolutely gut wrenching
