I'm going to second Mabon's post.

This whole "situation" has gone on for to long, and, while you all make your arguments as to where the problem lies, I am not going to take sides. What I will say, is that any comment made between KJ, NJ and DPJ that is aimed in an insulting/agitating way, WILL be deleted. I cannot enforce this 24/7, but with the help of Mabon, and hopefully you three, threads may stay on topic.

Please remember, I am not pointing the finger. The three of you contribute with great posts/threads at times, but the 10% of nastiness towards eachother makes my life a difficult one.


If I'm not around, please, anyone that feels a post is OTT, report it (Bottom left of post) or PM me and I'll deal with it as soon as I log in during the day.
 
Ok daft question but where is Scott? Haven't seem him post for a while.

Scott if you're out there hope everything's ok and don't forget your match thread next week please.

You can't leave us all at the mercy of these two buggers. In your absence Ash and Mabs are on massive ego trips, they're threatening to ban everybody !!

Fine with that JA - we all have a life outside the forum (I think!).

A lot of these problems could be avoided by the use of the Ignore button but DPJ and NJ refuse to put me on Ignore despite obviously disliking me and my opinions. To me that says a lot. It tells me that despite being advocates of harmony they actually love the aggro. Norway has admitted this in the past. He gets a kick out of it.

Personally, I can think of absolutely no reason why anyone would refuse to ignore a poster if that person bothers them so much. People are fed up with their ****.

Despite what is often said I only have a problem with them really. We all have issues with Dai but that's par for the course. <laugh> The only other person I've had a humdinger with is manseltonjack, but that's really Norway's alter ego anyway <laugh>

I urge you to PM them again and ask them to rethink their stance on using the Ignore button for the good of the forum.
 
I stopped coming on here because it's more of a pissing against the wall contest than a football forum these days. Everyone is welcome to each other, but you might as well remove me as a mod, I have no intention of contributing here any more.
 
I don't think anyone wants that Scott, off season is always silly season things will improve when the season starts.

Sorry to hear that , any sensible poster on here who decides to leave makes this board a far less pleasurable place to visit
 
Think again, Scott, please. As it happens I totally agree with you but, as Bonymaen says, decent contributors are not so much wanted as needed these days.

For my part I'll be happy if the Mods, who have a tough job, ruthlessly delete ANY post that is derogatory in ANY way to ANY other poster with no explanation or apology. Just do it!!

Scott, reconsider. I was going to walk little over two weeks ago but thought again. The decent posts we have outdo the **** ones.
 
It has been distressingly disappointing here for some time now.
Even I let slip "the dogs of war" a month or so back,and felt really ashamed of myself.
I stayed away for a while and that seems to be the way to go,for me ,at least.
Never again will I vent my spleen in such a way.
So,Scott,why not just give up the modding,which it seems you have already done,and come back when the season starts,as a poster,without even the pressure of producing your estimable match threads.
Your contributions have been very much a part of this Forum,and it will be sad to lose you.
With regards to the bickering that seems to have taken over the Forum,I would urge those who have individual problems to please try and get on,and use the ignore button,if it helps. I used it for the first time recently,and it does work.
The new season is upon us,and wouldn't it be nice and refreshing if we all strive for some harmony.
Put the past disputes to one side,pull together,and enjoy the Forum a bit more than we have of late.

The mods have a difficult job as it is. When they do nothing they get abuse. When they do act they're accused of stifling free speech or taking sides.

The mods should encourage the use of the Ignore button where there is an issue between posters for sure but when there is a refusal and they have to act then do it decisively and don't give a flying **** what anyone else says. The rules are the rules, end of and the good posters won't let the ususal suspects bully you. <ok>

I'd be sad to see you go Scott but I fully understand why. <ok>
 
Oh God we'll be looking for another mod pretty soon then by the looks of it unless Scott changes his mind.

I've got visions of Dai doing it. I wouldn't put anything past that supermod from Sunderland, may well choose a QPR or Liverpool fan. Let's hope it doesn't come to that

That was the beauty of the old 606, you had control over your article and could delete the comments if they were getting out of hand, if i post a thread i make a point of checking in on it and try to maintain a level of protection on it, without the delete button you can end up getting into stupid arguments with the Troll and the thread derails as a result, what can you do if a guy doesnt even bother reading the OP but posts sarcastic comments unrelated to the point of discussion, it becomes very frustrating if like me your trying to create debate. The Troll takes offence to any objective point of view,sometimes its not about how fantastic the team is, its about how can we improve or where did we go wrong,these are the things football fans talk about after the game in Bars all over the country but for some reason there is a strong dislike from the Troll when ever i take this approach, I post all kinds of threads, positive,light hearted,informative and objective, can somebody please tell me where im going wrong ?? when i post i debate my content and also defend it if needs be, this is the crux of it with the Troll, he doesnt see the purity in debate and the fun in having banter, so why bother commenting on my threads if there is no sence of respect for the OP or the writer of the Article ??

The only reason i can see is because he is a Troll. Sorry.



Going by what some people are saying your dammed if you do stick up for your content and dammed if you dont by the looks of it, maybe its best i just dont bother posting at all.
