15 million for a guy who has been relegated twice! We are paying way over the odds if that is true. Perhaps MON can get the most out of him but for 15 million he's gonna have to squeeze him hard!

Who did he get relegated with the 1st time? I don't really remember him prior to last season.

They all got relegated, so it doesn't matter now, but i really think you can do better. How about Bendtner for roughly 7-8 million?

I'd honestly prefer to pay £15m for Fletcher. Don't rate Bendtner that highly, he's not bad but the fact he's a knob doesn't help the case. I'd be happy with him for £4m

Burnley. He scored against us for them as well. Lol

Aren't you thinking of David Nugent mate? I only seem to remember Fletcher scoring against us for Wolves. Nugent (like Ameobi) is the classic player who's garbage for 36 games a year, but stick him in front of a red and white shirt and he'll turn into a scouse Messi...

Wolves have denied they have accepted a £12million bid from Sunderland for Steven Fletcher.

The Black Cats have reportedly made an improved offer of £10million, plus a further £2million based on appearances, after they had a bid rejected last week.

Speculation had reached fever pitch that the Championship side had finally relented and accepted an offer for their prized asset.

However, Wolves do not want to let the player leave for less than they believe he is worth and discussions are believed to be ongoing about a possible deal.

Rumours

"Rumours that we have accepted a bid from Sunderland are incorrect," Wolves chief executive Jez Moxey told the Express & Star.

"They want the player, but we haven't accepted anything."

Aston Villa are rumoured to be closely monitoring the situation as boss Paul Lambert is an admirer of the striking ability of his fellow countryman.

I think the lad gets a bit of bad press because he's scottish. People look and think "well he can only be so good". But you have to judge him on his goals and performances. Both suggest he is a good PL striker. Being a baldy doesn't help either <laugh> Zidane, Robben and Letchkov have proved it's no barrier!! Its like that ginger kid in the long jump, he's blown the myth that gingers are inferior out of the water

Paul Scholes possibly the best ever Premier league player. PS Are you pretending your mother is dead today?

Id argue Scholesy, perfect role model in football really (although I admit he has been sent off a bit...)

Never bad in press as far as I can remember and always played brilliantly

Someones life outside football shouldn't come into decision making on his skill, mate.

Going by that criteria George Best was rubbish. :p

Good point mate. I think it was him actually.

I was just having a root around, think some SAFC fans group found it. It is his actual twitter page, just not sure if it's for real or photoshopped.

He has written wolves without a capital w, maybe he rushed or maybe he didn't notice!
