Counting the academy players I think? - What gets me is before Snoddy left we were already looking at Peltier, it proves the funds were not there for him to sign, so basically we have swapped Snoddy for Peltier?

It beats me what the **** is going on with our great club - Not player for player but amount in and out WHY can't we sign anyone else??

Fair point Strach. The squad list numbers 26. Add Byram & Poleon to that plus Peltier who's not currently on that list & any others that I've missed takes us to 29. Maybe 40 was a bit of an over-exaggeration. It just seems as though we've got too many players, albeit with Somma & Bromby missing through injury & the likes of Nunez & Connolly unlikely to feature.
 
We have 18 squad players who are likely to figure prominently, not including the youth players, and not including Kisnorbo, Bromby, Somma, Nunez, Connolly.

Thats was my point pal, we are desperately short of cover especially quality cover, the only player we need to replace is Snoddy, and maybe a proven goal scorer at this level, if we get injuries or suspensions then we are going to have to look at players like poleon and the turners thompson taylor and byram who is looking assured by the way, where is Monty Gimp boy !! he was supposed to be brilliant but not featured at all !
 
Neil Warnock spoke to LUTV after the friendly win against Burton yesterday. Making their debuts were Lee Peltie and Rodolph Austin. Warnock talked about the match, search for “icing” players, and the complete lack of depth at the club. Bates tried to insist the club barely needed any cover for injury last spring; a glance at our squad numbers (19, including 2 Warnock wants to loan out) shows a squad that must be by far the thinnest-stretched in the league. Bates had better hope he’s right and the professional manager is wrong if he stays at the club, because the lack of depth is entirely his fault.

Sky Sports sources (drinking buddies) have informed us ex Leeds United pair Seb Carole and Tresor Kandol are both training at Knaresborough Town ahead of the new season. According to our man on the inside Carole is still a 'class act'.
 
Please, no one buy a programme and encourage anyone you know to not buy one either! Why is that cretin getting an opportunity to sprout his horrible opinions? I thought that some kind of silence would be necessary whilst a takeover is undergoing.
