I was listening to Nolan saying these things on the radio just last week...And as your captain he speaks on behalf of the whole club, which is different from one or two people on an internet forum which you base your assumptions on.....When it comes to delusion, Newcastle are top of the Champions League...
As I said , you had it as a season objective , we didn't. So your fail is bigger as we're a newly promoted club and would have taken 17th at the beginning of the season.

No, the people who were talking about it from the club still said that they needed to keep their feet on the ground. If we had ended the season as we were doing in November/December, we would be in the running for a European spot. Personally, I never wanted to get into Europe this season, as our squad would not be deep or strong enough to sustain Europe and the Premiership. Anywhere in the top 10, from the beginning of the season to now, has always been my target. I would still consider this season a success if we finished in the top 10.
