What a dreadful position AFC is in!

A demotivated RvP, neither really at Arsenal, but still not quite out the door.

Things are looking pretty grim for them, next season.

<laugh>

Truth is we've never been more at ease in a transfer window for a long time. <ok>

Spuddies grasping at straws. Still can't sign a striker, and now considering to snatch Carroll from the mighty West Ham. (with the Modric saga still ongoing)

You Gooners are putting a brave face on all of this, I can that. But I know you are crying inside.

Spurs are making a real hash of this transfer window aren't they.

Yes and no - Vertonghen was secured pretty quickly (and we needed that sorted), Sigurdsson joined without a hitch, we moved on Corluka and Kranjcar at the earliest opportunity, and we're waiting on the tribunal to sort out Fryers and Hall.

Better than bringing in the key summer signings after the season started, which we did last season, and the less said about our last couple of January windows the better.

Our collapse last season was down to two very important factors:-

(1) RvP had what is likely to be the best game of his career. Had that not been the case, AFC would have struggled to finish in the first half of the table.

(2) Redknapp had his head turned by all the "cry Harry for England!" bollocks that our media was spouting.

It's the coincidence of those two factors that lead to our collapse, since one improved AFC and the other weakened us. Either one of them would not have been sufficient to undo us, in my view.

RVP scored ONE goal of the five but dont let facts get in the way , keep them siggies coming.

HIAG you are just the best. !<ok>

<doh> @ gunner.b.allwrong

Your bitterness for the mighty Spurs has unhinged you, my friend.

And you weren't particularly the sharpest tool in the box to begin with.

Signed Giroud, Podolski, Cazorla, and will get Sahin
<rofl><laugh><doh>
try harder next time

Who is to say any or all of these players will settle? this isn't football manager where you sign a player on a ability shown in another league and they are 100% going to perform.

Also, you have weak areas at full back, your left backs are suspect, sagna is out injured and your back up rb is young and naive.

At centre back you still have issues.

Plus RVP has stated he wants out.

Actually he just stated he is not intending to renew. It may have escaped your notice but he still has a year left on his contract.

And we haven't finished our summer spending yet. <ok>
