na its just annoying scrolling all this way down to find your little club ;)

he's alright, he went to the game yesterday and sat in the home end <laugh> he said he wanted to sit with championship fans for a change, rather than the dribbling dole spongers you get at them flem <cheers>

Shiny it's a losing battle with cjs , but i love your dedication to the wind up-

He does care that is why he writes a novel - 3 - 0 end of, i spoke to a few rovers lads yesterday and they hated the fact we done them but that's cricket.

He stuck in time and will put up an argument every time :emoticon-0109-kiss:

Bragging rights over a friendly, pre-season, testimonial game? <laugh>

If you're that desparate, shiny, I genuinely fear for you this season......

You'd be all over our board if you won though, saying rubbish like "haha you lost you're going down" etc :)

Wot a lot of cobblers being discussed over a testimonial game, not really even a friendly. The purpose of the game was to entertain those football supporters who wished to say thank you to Louis Carey for all of the time he has committed to City over the years. More importantly than bragging rights over who won, should be the disgrace that so few of his supporters turned up to support him!

It's no disgrace that 8700 Bristolians turned up of both colours with all of the distractions going on,internationals in Cardiff, olympic games on the tele, cricket test match on the tele, summer holidays, ticket prices caused by police charges and tough economical times,I think it's a credit to the 8700 that turned up,what is a disgrace is the average gate of 6000 that turn up at the minimal although, maybe not...

Sorry Wiz, thisa time I cannot agree with you. If you check your times of the other events you mention you will find not a great deal interfered with the testimonial.

So on Saturday,no olympics,no test match,no internationals in Cardiff,no summer holidays,no over pricing by the old bill affecting ticket charges, the times are not hard, your average gate is not 6000 approx but fair play to the 8700 of us that turned up but I did use the word distraction.

    Oh dear....

i know several fans on both sides who went to both the testimonial and gbr vs korea at cardiff so you are right in a way. however it was the wrong time of the year for this game. school holidays mean family holidays away or families may be about to go or just come back so money is tight. or if not holidays but stuck at home meaning parents cant go to the game as its not really a fixture to take the kids due to previous crowd trouble. i wouldnt want my kids there until they are late teens and even then still by my side. this mongst other issues like £15 each is expensive for this type of game. and i think as due to previous trouble at these games, people may have been put off as well. so i have to agree with wiz too.

but im sure if the game was at the mem and it was a rovers players testimonial, we would of sold out our home end to thank our loyal legend ;)

not me. yeah its a laugh to take the piss etc but to claim bragging rights for that i think is taking the piss <laugh> but if your going to count testimonial/pre season friendly then fans derby and legends game is the same. about time you won 1 game out of these charity games :)
