Yes but the problem I see is that PL players tend to be there for only one thing. The ££££££. At least from Championship down the players do show some loyalty to the club and fans.

I can actually appreciate a lot of the scepticism. Everything is magnified at PL level, when you play well everybody knows about it but when you play poorly you really do get criticised a hell of a lot. I barely watched match of the day last year, hardly miss it now

yes, id love for us to be in the premiership, either this season or next season. especially now we have the 2 pearsons back, with the backing of the allams and a pretty good little squad. my only worry is can we afford to compete in the premiership ? i mean are the allams willing to back us fully, paying premiership wages and what not..

There's no such thing as getting promoted "too early"! If we don't get promoted this season then there is no guarantee that we will get promoted next season or the season after - in fact we may never have a better chance than now.

Promotion this season would be fantastic for the area, the fans, and is just reward for the brilliant job done by N.Pearson and his staff, the players, A.Pearson and the Allams.

For me two things stand out from the responses above;

1) Good for the area - True first season in the EPL Hull was in the news nationally, feel good atmosphere around the City!

2) IF and it's probably why people like me are sceptical about going up, If managed properly the club should benefit with more cash, improved training ground, possibly improved stadium, more fans locally ( ****ing hate those plastic fans walking round the place in MAn U and LIverpool shirts !

Even though I booked a holiday when we looked to be fighting relagation and booked it for the playoff final weekend thinking that there would be no chance we would be anywhere near the playoff spots.

Well I will say this getting to the prem seems a whole lot more fun than being there I think everybody can agree on that.
If by some miracle we win at Webley again this year the city will go nuts!

Yes. Attendance always 23,000+, More TV Coverage, 5-15 minutes on MOTD, £700,000 for every team you finish above, etc, there are a lot of advantages, even if we don't win so often. If we do make it, it should be better because money will be spent on facilities and maybe 1-2 bargain/loan signings, rather than ridiculous transfer fees and wages for underperforming players

With respect, as a QPR fan I look at the recent experiences of Hull, Blackpool and the like and can't say I fancy it much from an entertainment point of view. One minute you're flying and the next you're having to cope with the big drop.

I think the sad thing is that whilst our natural inclination as supporters is to want win everything / anything we can, when it comes to promotion to the prem, the heart gives way to the pocket and we're inevitably disappointed. Cynical place the PL, everything has to be about money (including the new fans). The commercialism is such that you don't even get a decent Saturday of league results to look forward to.

QPR have had their time both up and downstairs. All told, I've always preferred Championship / Division 2 football as a contest between sides with a fairly even chance of getting a result. Problem for us though, is that there's a league above this one and we're compelled to aspire to the dubious prize.

Ok.... here goes... yes - for the money that would come into the club, and be managed accordingly and professionally, the publicity it would bring to the city of Hull and the feel good factor, and really importantly how it would piss off the white shyte after a season of their fans bleating about how good they are. On the flip side of the coin I am of the same opinion of Mussie, it just feels a season early. NP in this season has had to deal with some severe lows financially and having to sort out a very poor squad of mercenaries, has beens, crocks and talentless individuals. He has miraculously moulded a young keen squad who have been improving as the season has gone on. I would not be upset if we missed out this year, feeling that another season would help to establish a better playing squad, and enhancing the feeling of togertherness within this squad. For us to benefit from the premier league experience I would also suggest a further increase of at least 5000 on the capacity to generate income, it doesn`t look like that will happen until Mr ALLAM gets full controlling reigns of the stadia. So dilemma ahead, I`ll be cheering on the boys to do as well as they can, and wherever we will be next season, it certainly promises much.

I'm with Mussie on this one - I'd much rather we smashed the granny out the Npower next year and went up properly. We would get ass wupped, not sure I could handle that again...

In an ideal world I'd like to give the youngsters another season in the championship and go up next season but, there's no guarentees so you have to take your chance when ever you can.

Going up may limit the chances of the young lads who otherwise might reach the next level in the championship. It's a hard one, it we go up then great, if we stay in the championship then I'll look forward to seeing our team mature and further improve.
