Rudd, Francomb, Barnett, Turner, Lappin, Surman, Hoolahan, Snodgrass, Jackson, Martin, Morison

Subs - Matthews, R Bennett, Barker, Johnson, E Bennett, Josh Murphy

A rest for a few players, and to give CH an idea on who may and may not have a future at the club.

I don't think this team will be parking the bus on our 18 yard line! <laugh> Mind you, MK are strong in attack and the back four are certainly going to be tested. They will want to do the treble over us -- three different divisions!

Dominant for the 1st half, but just cannot hit the back of the net! Snoddy seems to be really impressing..

My prediction of goals was rather inaccurate it seems.

"Barnett powers a header from a corner over the bar". I've a strong feeling I've heard that before -- and seen it! <laugh>

Went to game, never really looked like scoring. Too many time trying to work the ball into a chance around the 18 yard box. Rather we done it deeper to than utilize Jackson's pace, although he did have a good game and was probably best player.

What about Morison's two efforts and Turner's header? From the Twitter reports it sounded as though the keeper rather kept them in it?

Yeah corner was probably a good chance, Morison's had a one on one which he never seemed to be able to get it down and on the floor. He then shot it straight at keeper. Not sure what other one he had.

We seemed to try and pass it into net. It seemed that only Morison and Martin had a licence to shoot at times, the midfielders had a couple of cracks but there were times when our midfielders had a massive gap to shoot through it was quite frustrating. I won't slag off the midfield as they all played well Hoolahan played a lot deeper and ran the game at times.

Good, he didn't really have too much to do. He looked comfortable on the ball and more mobile than I thought he was and read the game well a couple of times. Solid I guess is the word, but again there wasn't too much to do as most the time ball was in midfield.

One player who impressed me was Francomb, he played well.

<laugh> Anyway, it never appeared. That was the only site that listed it, which suggests it was never going to be shown. <grr>

No mention of Snodgrass? The club Twitter reports suggested he played well.

I didn't mean there was only one player who impressed me, I don't get what you mean?

Snodgrass looked good, his set pieces were dangerous. Looked frustrated at Morison and Martin at times because the amount of crosses near post where no one was there was stupid.

I was just surprised that, since this was Snodgrass's first full 90 minutes, you didn't mention him specifically, just included him in your praise of the midfield generally. That's all. Wasn't getting at anything else. <ok>

No worries, Hoolahan was best of the bunch. Snodgrass looked a bit rusty at times. Probably why he played and also why I didn't mention him, you could tell he was a week or two behind. Why he probably played when so many first teamers were left out and also why I didn't mention. Set pieces were dangerous though.
