An agent has made the claim that Juventus have already sealed a deal to sign Arsenal striker Robin van Persie. GettyImages Robin van Persie was clinical in front of goal last season ⢠Transfer Blog: On the Move ⢠Henry: Life goes on if RVP leaves Netherlands forward Van Persie told Arsenal last month that he had no desire to sign a new contract, which has prompted a transfer frenzy. Juventus have been in the chase, along with Manchester City and Manchester United, but Van Persie remains an Arsenal player as the club mull over their options. Should Arsenal sell, it is believed that their preferred option would be to let him go abroad. There would appear to be a strong likelihood of that happening, if Fabio Parisi is to be believed. Parisi has no connection with the deal - he represents Tayo Taiwo - but claims that a contract is already under lock and key. "I think Juventus have had a signed contract with Van Persie for some time locked away in a notary's desk," Parisi is quoted as saying in the Italian media. "It is just my opinion but I think there is an eight out of ten chance the Dutchman will join the Bianconeri. "Juventus want to win and he is considered the ideal addition to achieve that."
I've predicted a spiral down into obscurity. PEKIE has laughed at me. But he's always doing that. This time, however, I rather fear that it may be one laugh too many. As much as I hate to say it, I think the Mousers will finish above Arsenal, next season. Worrying times for the "professor of football" and his team of (not quite) invincibles.
I cant say I hate the Spuds or the Gooners! I find it diffecult to be anything but sympathetic to sides that never win anything!
i actually want him to leave even if at the cost of trophies...not to mention i win £600 if he does go to Juventus! (odd 10/1).
I didnt dislike tottenham until all the deluded sh**e you spout out now since one good season where you made CL qualification... oh wait... Tottenham are as deluded as scousers now which is just terrible, i used to like tottenham as a team. ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ On topic, Arsenal need Van Persie, and Van Persie wont be any good in another team.. One good season suddenly he is the best thing since sliced bread? dont think so.
41 Goals in 56 Matches, 30 of them in the PL... Think you needed him to last season, and youll miss him next. imo.
What did Spurs ever win when we were in the 2nd division? Because it certainly wasn't League Titles and European cups. But with all the money you spent surely it would be expected you win an FA Cup or two here and there. Arsenal won pretty much everything there is to win (at least once) so credit to them but Spurs have always been perennial underachievers
It's about the same. If truth be told around where we live totsfan there aren't that many Spurs fans. Plenty of Chelsea, a bit of Arsenal and even West Ham. Growing up I always hated Arsenal and West Ham more than Spurs but as I got older I began to hate Spurs more, particularly with all the games we had against each other in he early 00s. All my family are Goons (as I've said a million times lol) and at family gatherings when they were doing well I used to get ripped for supporting Chelsea. I found Gooners to be amongst the most arrogant fans out there, worse than plastic Mancs in that respect. But Arsenal fans on match days never bothered me that much, they've always been relatively down to earth people, maybe because it's more corporate than Spurs I don't know. I can say hands down though Spurs fans on match days are far worse and I find them to be extremely obnoxious full of hatred and bitterness. The same could probably be said for our fans on the other side of the fence though. Even though Arsenal are better than Spurs over the last 6 years or I've seen beating Spurs as a bigger achievement than beating Arsenal. Probably because they are a lot mentally tougher. I think these days it's far harder (for all teams) to win at WHL than it is at Arsenal
Do you live near Sutton DL?.AS for fans hating other fans on matchday's,the worst i've come across are Saints fans, they are evil.
Ever been to City tots? There's not much space between away fans and home fans and they dish it out in large portions! Aggro bastards.
You can say that again. Easily the most volatile I've been to, much different to the prawn sandwich NATO plastics at Old Trafford
