aye 16 goals a season is "no good" like <doh> one of the dumbest quotes I've read on here. And you advocate a man who has scored an 8, a 10 and a 12 being bought for almost Double what you'd pay for Ba <laugh> Ba has now been in England, scoring goals, for 18 months. This "lucky with the knee" thing doesn't hold water, he has a better injury record in his career than the majority of players.
 
I think Ba could 'do a job' for most clubs in the league (Only City and Chelsea I'd say have no need for a player like him). Its odd that no-one came in so I suspect the 'facts' were incorrect and we may never know the truth behind it all.

You really are a bitter old ****wit aren't you? <laugh> You just keep telling yourself 12 goals is better than 16 <ok> It'll all be ok, also on the knee thing it's not as if Ba has played two full seasons including an ACON in the middle of last is it?
 
I think the champions league clause sounds the most realistic.

I did find it a bit strange that nobody seemed to go in for him after the 1st half of the season that he had, but at the same time, he's certainly not a champions league player and wouldn't expect a 'giant' to go in for him.

So how many did he actually score between January and May in ALL competitions? Its a valid point and if he was available for £7m (a steal in reality) and not on that big wages, why do you think no one from the Champs League clubs in Europe came in then?

You may not like the truth as youre just a dirty little tiddly sucker but the truth it is all the same.

- to be fair he played on the wing and contributed in other ways later in the season, playing a significant part in providing those goals for Cisse, however, you would have had to scout closely to see that so I take your point, that could have been off-putting

- also, it wasn't a second striker set-up, it was a 4-3-3 with Ba as a left winger

- umm, because he's a proven premier league scorer and you need one ? maybe ?

when did you pass on him ? I believe the toon quite famously passed on Zidane, it wouldn't have been very bright to have passed on him later in his career again cos we passed on him once (like we would ever have had a second chance, but you get my point)
