For the first time in months, we outplayed our opponent, and still got beat. It shows that when your not getting the luck, your not getting the luck.

We were all over them in the first half, sessegnon off the line (is the lad going to break his duck after he hit the bar v Everton?) and plenty of corners which were actually put in good areas for the lads to attack. Then low and behold, a terrible blunder at the back and we are 1 0 down.

For me, all though everyone is going to blame Mignolet, which is right, it is his fault if hes shouted for it, but Bardo has to just launch it in the stand if he thinks the keeper is not getting there, the first rule of defending! So that was ashame.

We came back at them in the second half, showed good link play, welbeck headered over, catt and hendo went close, we were in birminghams half pressing and... Gardener shoots out of nothing and probably catches the keeper out if anything (I hope the fans support the lad on saturday).

When the luck is not going with you, its not going with you.

Thought we played well yesterday, controlled the midfield, maybe bring in muntari or Rico for colback on Saturday with it been at home, we probably need their experience and still have good pace and will help out defence and attack however colback played well, so did henderson :emoticon-0104-surpr and cattermole, Gyan and Welbeck were average but both had chances, and sessegnon was showing that hes **** as people have been saying, but has got good touches and can beat a man. Turner was clearly not match fit and Elmo didnt do anything wrong really and was playing more as a wing back.

Its positive for Saturday, i would agree with what Bruce said in his post match interview, and move on too next saturday where if we play like that, we should win.

    Thoughts?

    all good mate,

only thing im not in favour of is, why drop colbeck for muntari or ricco.

the lad had a canny game and can only grow into the team, be a shame to drop him and bring a ****ing donkey named muntari in.

give the lad a few more games.

just need to sort the forwards out, and play like that again, all will be good

    Would leave colback in.

Thought Welbeck was poor and thats a concern. If its just getting games to hit match fitness OK but thought he was lethargic last week and missed a couple yesterday.

Best performance for a few good weeks yesterday, not brill, but deffo better.

Lots of spirit and determination was shown yesterday,we just need our luck to turn.I don't believe the team we saw in the first half of the season can turn so bad as our last nine results indicate. As I say,one little bit of luck (the ball going in off someones backside or a dodgy decision going our way) and I think the team we saw in the first half of the season will return.

I would just maybe bring back in richardson because he can score a goal and where else are we going to get them from at the moment, if we were away from home again, i would leave colback in but at home, i would favour attacking flair or rico or muntrari who is more creative.

tell you the truth mate, as well as leaving colback in i'd maybe consider giving noble a start, even if it means leaving out wellbeck or our very own superstar gyan, (controversal but hey they are hardly on fire)
