    First real test tomorrow
    When Ajax come to town,
They caused Saints some recent sorrow
    One-nil they went down

    And though scores don´t matter
    That much,´twill be good,
If we could outdo the latter
    Winning well, touch wood

    Could be time for airing
    Our two latest recruits,
To see just how they´re both faring
    Under Mr. Hughts

    Up to now, pre-season
    Is going pretty well,
    No-one need have any reason
    To fear things won´t gel

    Injuries seem minor
    Those so far there are,
    Although I´ve missed Fox´s finer
    Attributes so far

    But that Vaughan is healthy
    And in a scoring mood,
Can only make us more wealthy
    ´Mongst our striking brood

    He´s like a new signing
    So little have we seen,
Of him, it´s good to see him shining
    Looking fit and lean

    So, with good demeanour
    And some slick passing play,
I hope we´ll take them to the cleaners
Those from Ajax way. OTBC :)

Hi RBF, as you say, results don't really matter, it's a chance for all to show what they can do, and to show CH who to keep and who to wave goodbye!

It will be an interesting game certainly, I hope Snozcumber and Tina will get a run out.

My granddad always pronounced Ajax like a brand of cream cleaner so they always make me smile.

A few of the other Ajax games on this tour of theirs have been "streamed" so there is a good chance this one might be too but I can not find it. VIP Stand is not loading, and 1st Row Sports is only showing the schedule for today.

    Great as usual RBF! <applause>

Anyone know if this game is being shown live on channel 5 like the Southampton v Ajax game? Unfortunately I think it's unlikely as we are apparently 'not as big as Southampton.'

One would think we could see
    It on net or tv,
    But should it not
    Find a free slot
On ´Player´ it will be. OTBC

Hi just a question about seating in the ground. Whenever I do go I normally sit behind the goal, but I left my father to get tickets for this game. So therefore is the 'Geoffrey Watling Stand' appropriate for a 7 year old and 80-something year old? As in not huge amounts of swearing etc.

That's close to Delia who will most likely be drunk, so swearing is very likely!

But in all seriousness it's a heck of a lot better than the stands behind the goals
