Personally I thought Guly played well - thought him and Fonte were our two best players.

Fantastic result. Awful referee. Now for Brighton.

Guly, no just no. Everybody around where I was sat all said he was out of it today, and has been last few games. Im sorry but i just don't agree with Guly playing well.

The referee, well the Forte "handball" in the 1st half absolutely says it all about him (and her)

With Guly it's a strange one,he goes from the sublime to the ridiculous,he had more of the ridiculous today but the one bit of sublime won us the game. One thing he has to improve on is his first touch which was awful at times today.

I agree with Guly, but he's very inconsisent. Last 3/4 games he hasn't deserved to start, but I guess we don't really have any competition at the moment. At the moment however, I think he is more of a liability than a talent IMO

I completely agree that he is very, very inconsistent, and that in recent games he has put in some poor performances. I just felt that today he showed some real glimpses of class, and certainly knocked the ball around quite nicely. Not a great performance, but an above-average performance (compared to simply average performances from most players today).

Not sure what game the referee was at but it sure wasn't ours. The number of times he blew for a second foul completely missing the first. He was looking straight at Jaidi being pulled to the ground and he still failed to give the foul. At times he was like an extra man for them. Some of the bookings were really laughable. At one stage was of the opinion that he had lost control of the game. He was far to generous with non booking of players in the first 20 odd minutes. Because of this as the game started to boil he then got card happy.

Played poorly most of the game. Too slow and plodding in midfield. Weren't pressurising the ball and half the team had shockers (Butterfield, Hammond, Stephens, Lambert and Guly... up to his goal).

Think it helped us that Rovers sat back in the 2nd half, if they had shown a bit more adventure, they could have got at least a point.

Honestly didn't think that goal was coming. Felt like "one of those games", especially with such a ****e ref.

A win is a win and very very thankful of it !!!

Shame about Barnard, gonna miss him badly.

How come 1,300 Rovers fans can make more noise than the Northam?

Those 5,000 or more who piss off 5 minutes before the end of the game, please can they be banned from the last game of the season? Can't see why they should change a habit of a lifetime and stay for the final whistle, its much more important to "beat the rush". Really ****ing annoys me more and more.

STAY TO THE END OF THE ****ING GAME. STOP BEING ****S.

we took over 2000 today. we usually outsing the home support to be fair. 5-0 down and we still outsing the opposition on our travels. its our home support who let us down in truth!
well done today saints. i really hope you go up. would love to see what gashead rickie lambert can do in the next level. we dont half miss him. we still not replaced him. we got will hoskins who is great but not the same type of striker though. not replacing lambert may cost us our league 1 position. we had 2 17 year old strikers on the bench today, both made their debut. we have our top striker / goal scorer out injured and only got 2 youngsters as cover with no 1st team experience prior to today. we havent had much luck this season and we really need it now. we hit a bit of form before hoskins got injured 2 weeks ago.
todays game was a good game ruined by the ref. he was poor for us both. stats show you deserved it and in truth 1-0 was correct. we had our chances and the game was end to end at times but we couldnt take ours and last 20 mins we began to sit back and thought a point would be enough. instead that encouraged you to push at us and we looked like we were going to lose.

all the best to you in your run in. i hope you go up.

Couldnt agree more can't stand it when floods of our fans start leaving at 85 mins does my nut in!!!

Connolly played well. He's got a chance to pay back the club's support during his interminable injuries. Sadly, for him and us, he has a history of breaking down after recovering from an injury. Fingers croossed, because I think we're going to need him.
