Walcott has gone.

You should never re-sign a player after selling him. They're old news.

Don't always agree with this but in the case of Walcott, yes.

I'd take Bale back if he was offered.

As much as he is a great player I don't think I would.

I just feel the current squad has grown together, I just don't think bringing back ex players from were darker times before and mixing them with the good times now.

:)

I have to say I do thoroughly like our squad and team spirit!

You lot takin' the piss, right? You... wouldn't take back Bale or Walcott??!?!?!?!

...da ****??

What? This makes no sense, what's the logic here?

I knew this would be a typical 'let's hit out at RLGB' moment.

I'm just not keen on bringing back ex-players.

It's just an opinion, you may not agree, but respect it and discuss it :)

It's not an opinion, it's an unjustified statement. Turn it into an opinion by sharing logic and justifying it, otherwise it just looks like an exhibition of stupidity.

Could you imagine if during his prime we were offered Alan Shearer?

RLGB would still be insistent on the stance of "God no we should never ever consider re-signing him".

Walcott and Bale are excellent players, no doubt.

But times move on and (some) fans move on.

You look at some clubs where players return to their former clubs and try are never the players they once were.

We have an excellent academy and are continuing to prove that we have players coming through and have what it takes and are stepping up to the mark.

Those younger players are mainly level headed and are keen to improve and break into what is already an extremely high spirited team.

I would always prefer to bring players through than bring back ex players where they (some) have more money than sense.

Hope that was explained well enough, takes a while typing on a phone. :)

The reason that you would consider an ex-player is the same reason you would want any new player...because he can do a job for the team. The fact he has previous history with the team is not important especially to Nicola and Nigel who weren't here at the time.
