I dont understand why Leicester were offering 750K if he has a 500K buy out clause?

Not sure if true but I heard the buy-out clause only applies if a Premier League team were to bid 500k.

It smells of Bruce trying to cash in I think, he obviously has his eyes on someone else he wants in.

TBH if a PL team came in for him then I wouldn't begrudge him going, even if it was Reading or lower end team. But going to another Championship team doesn't make sense to me!

You could be on the money there JayC. I wouldn't mind Koren going if we could get someone younger and better in:biggrin:

I don't think anyone would have a problem with it if we got someone younger and better in. But like who? I can't think of anyone. Especially someone with the knack of scoring match winning goals.

If Koren is happy to talk about a new deal with us, then get him signed.

Agreed. I don't know any other younger, affordable midfielders with the skill of drilling in a 30 yard screamer like Koren can do.

Akos Buzsacky but I would rather we kept Koren. However, if we can bring in Buzsacky on a free and the Koren money can bring in someone like Elmohamady on loan then it could be a wise move

But Buzsaky doesn't score consistent long rangers like Koren. I think Koren has equalled Buzsaky's goal tally from 4 Seasons, in his 2 at us. Koren has scored 17 goals in 2 seasons from midfield. It's big boots to fill and as good a player Buzsaky is, I don't think he's the one to replace Koren for goalscoring.

Prossy, Aluko and Koren in the same team should indeed guarantee is more goals than last year!!

Just makes me laugh that the other halves Leicester supporting family are adamant he is going to them, and have been awhile, the Leicester mercury says it so it MUST be happening <laugh>

I agree with you but Koren & Fryatt were our only real contributors to goals last season whereas we now have Proschwitz & Aluko who I'm sure will bag a few

Buzsaky is more of a midfielder though unlike Koren who has to play in the hole

You need more then that. You need the whole team to chip in not 4 players

As for Koren i think if we was going to sign him we would have signed him by now. With the middle man (Hull) being cut out the deal with the release clause it would be a relatively straight forward deal
