With hundreds of events and thousands of competitors we've never heard of, this must be a golden opportunity to beat the bookies. People like Mike are having to assign odds to ribbon twirling, mud wrestling and all-sorts, they are bound to slip up.

So, any tips?
 
You are actually quite right, if you are any good at these things you can make money.

The last company I worked for, who are maybe the 3rd or 4th largest betting company in the world, assigned me to do Judo for the Olympics. It was basically a lucky dip out of a hat on who got what sport.

If I was up against someone who actually followed Judo I'd lose money - I'm basically hoping that with my over-round added on and thousands of clueless people like myself gambling we'll cover the loses of the individual who actually knows what he is doing.
