Cisse is a free agent and perfectly entitled to talk to who he wants to. He is better than our other defensive midfield options (possibly excluding Morris?) and for that reason I would want him to stay. It looks unlikely though... From reports we've offered him less money and are a team that has only narrowly avoided relegation, seeing as he's from Mali and hardly a lifelong city fan i'm not in the slightest bit suprised he wants to talk to teams that will be pushing for promotion. There's reported interest from Reading in taking him back though so I would be extremely surprised to see him here start of the season.
Think we'll see a 5 man midfield most of the time imo. -----------Morris--------------- Adomah Skuse Pearson Anderson Would like Buzacky but will wait and see!
Have to wait any see, if we get an offer approaching £2.5m plus then he should certainly be sold. Bolasie and Adomah are both still very raw with potential to develop.
wouldn't mind seeing Adomah Elliott Buzacky Skuse Anderson If we can akos, then that will be brilliant let adomah buzacky and Anderson attack whilst skuse and Elliot protect the back 4 and feed in the attackers
The latest piece of creative thinking from BS Central: 26 Jul 2012 18:10:45 Derek McInnes is set to offer former Chelsea Centre half/right back Michael Mancienne a chance to compete again in England, the last time being for Wolves on loan. The pending transfer will be completed after the upcoming friendly on the tour of Scotland. The transfer is saught after following the collapse of the deal for Richard Keogh and Anthony Gerrard, leaving the gap at CB unanswered. Although the Mancienne deal is set as undiscolsed, the agreement with German outfit Hamburg SV is due to be in the region of £650,000.
Agree very good player - I just can't see this one being true Sounds like Heaton will sign today according to BEP
and here's the latest: 28 Jul 2012 00:26:12 Spoke to my friend who is on the bristol city board and he said that we are now talking to someone who will surprise a lot of the fans of the club. The replacement nicky maynard will be nathan tyson.derek rates him highly and the deal could be done by the end of next week 27 Jul 2012 23:36:06 Ryan Hall, Southend's 24 year old winger, is wanted by Bristol City, Notts Forest and Brighton 27 Jul 2012 20:51:25 Sanchez Watt is the quick forward that Bristol City would like to bring to Ashton Gate as he multi positional which DM likes 27 Jul 2012 19:10:23 Bristol City to enquire about Gabriel Tamas as it is unlikely he will be in the 25 man squad when Wba announce it 27 Jul 2012 15:24:47 Bristol city are looking to bringing in Robert earnshaw to Ashton gate
Tyson - no thanks. Earnshaw - you're kidding surely! Ryan Hall - really, another winger? Watt - exactly! Tamas - never heard of him. Heaton & Cunningham seem on the surface to be decent signings. Morris and Anderson are distinctly underwhelming IMHO. Del's signings last season were a bit hit and miss and of the 4 so far I feel the same is likely. Most crucial are a CB and goal scoring striker with pace. If he gets those right we will be OK. I still don't see at the moment where the goals will come from next season and that was a big problem last year.
Expect Anthony Gerrard to sign for Bristol City in the early part of next week. Huddersfield have now pulled out of the running and his likely destination is Ashton Gate. Sam Baldock has medical on Wednesday as he is impressed with Derek Mcinnes vision and management style and believes Bristol are on the verge of something Big in the coming season. Speculation is growing that a surprise signing in Michael Owen may be on the cards as talks are continuing between his agent and Majority shareholder Steve Lansdown. There is still talk of Kitson and Ben Haim of cash strapped Portsmouth as well as Buszaky but these are still unconfurmed at this stage.
another unlikely one: 29 Jul 2012 15:15:57 Bristol City will turn their interest to Celtics Anthony Stokes, Whilst in Scotland McInnes will walk to the 24 year old
Christ shiney yes pleaseeee where are you hearing these rumours. Put two or three of these in the squad then we can look forward to a cracking season.
Micheal Owen if fit will rip the most Championship defences apart, even if you look at his goals per game at Man U you would wonder why they let him go. Unfortunately his wages would cripple most clubs in this division as I can't see him coming for less than 25-30k, plus he would want to stay near his horses where he see's his career going now. But imagin him coming on that wage and one of his injuries happen again. I don't think we could take that gamble. But also could raise the profile of the club with more fans coming into the stadium. Glad the rumour probably has no truth in it so we won't have to make that decision
