This time last season we had just lost the last 4 games. Against Reading, Cardiff, West Brom and Derby. People was saying the wheels had fallen off and writing us off. But the team pulled together we then won the next 5 games against QPR, Peterborough, Watford, Preston and Middlesbrough. No one expected us to do what we did last season we came mighty close. So now we have more quality in the side we need another end to the regular season like last season. The team is good enough to beat Reading tommorow and Forest next week. These 2 fixtures will either take the play-offs away from us or given us a decent shout. We need a minimum of 4 points out of the game. We can do it depending on how play. We need more performances like Burnley and less like Palace. Time for the Yak to prove his class again and show people why he is on so much money. Time for King to turn in a performance and get a goal. We need another captains performance from Oakley like he did on tuesday night. Time to stand up and be counted. If we dont get play-offs we would of done well to have a good season after the start we had and in the summer when everyone is on even points and Sven can us the owners money more effectivly we should be looking forward to next season. Well yeah, but last season we we're already up there with not many teams around us. This season even winning all our games won't reward us with a playoff place. But is it just me, or would you all rather we just finished 8th ish and had a decent run in. No disapointment and then try storm the league next season. I'd rather win the league than go up through the playoffs with a team that cant beat Crystal Palace at home
I know what you mean tbh. This season has been frustarting and a bit of a disappointment. Exciting no doubt, but think how good next season COULD be. It would be nice to just enjoy a season like QPR have, feeling like the best team in the league and winning the majority of games. I want us to go up and I want to feel like we've deserved it. I want to feel the positive vibe around the the Club and feel like the squad is all in it together (I'm not sure that all of our loan players are that bothered). So although it feels like ages away now - viva next season. Though of course it would be great if we pulled off a miracle this season.
