I think if we sign Dempsey, Allen and Walcott, to add to Borini, and then kept Carroll, we'd have done a good summer of business and have a good attack with a strong variety and depth. -------------------Reina-------------------- --------------------Doni-------------------- -Johnson---Skrtel-----Agger---Enrique-- --Kelly--Carragher---Coates---Wilson--- -------------------Lucas-------------------- -----------------Spearing------------------ ----------Gerrard------Allen--------------- ----------Aquilani----Henderson---------- ----Dempsey----------------Suarez------ ----Walcott------------------Downing----- ------------------Borini-------------------- -----------------Carroll-------------------- Plus: Bellamy, Cole, Suso, Sterling, Shelvey, Pacheco?, Jones, flanagan, Robinson.
If anyone is watching the Chelsea x PSG game, if PSG want to offload Nene and we have 18 million, he would be a quality addition. Been the best player today ( first 45) for me. Lefty as well. PSG look good as well, the movement, third man release, slipped balls, it is pretty sharp.
Its a huge financial gamble if we go for Walcott over him. Though on the other hand, Afellay has had a horrid time with injuries and is still building back to his best. In the Euro's V Denmark who looked good but you could see he hadnt played much and he didnt manage 90 minutes.
True, but I think it was a leg break so it shouldn't be a recurring issue like a muscle/joint problem. He was already fully developed when he was injured. At that price, and with his quality it'd be mad to go for Walcott.
13.52 BST: Barnsley have completed their move for Liverpool winger Toni Silva, bringing the 18-year-old to Oakwell on a free transfer. Barnsley boss Keith Hill told BBC Radio Sheffield: "He's young, enthusiastic and quick with and without the ball."

I really hope we don't drop 15 mil on him, 8 sure. I just don't think he is that needed and if buying him means we will be letting Aquilani go, I think that would be a massive massive mistake.
I have to say im shocked we are letting him go for nothing. Looks like a more than decent young player and did well for Northampton on loan last season. I dont get it at all and I hope it doesnt come back to bite us in the future.
I don't know if Aquilani's future is really in BR's hands. He can't keep a player that expensive, on that contract, if he refuses to give 100% and be involved.
If he wants to stay and play but Rodgers sees moving him on due to clearing wage or something like that then I think it would be rediculous. He looked so smooth in play on saturday and just think he would give us so much more confidence and quality in midfield. Linked with Moussa Sissoko again today.
