As a proud born and bred County Durham lad Mon's I agree wholeheartedly and as a lad who has lived all his life in a wearside town (the mighty Wear runs right through the heart of my Chester le Street) I cant for the life of me understand anyone being a dirty craa from here. However, thats an individuals choice and as I have said, I'd welcome a Wallsend born and bred lad who was a die hard Sunderland fan, just as I'd shun a Hendon born lad who was a mag (2 unlikely scenarios I grant you but it makes my point).

Couldn't disagree more Cest. I dodn't choose to support Newcastle. I just have done for as long as I remember, don't know why, my Dad supported Leeds, one Grandad supported Boro and when he died, my Step-Grandad was a Toon fan. Maybe that's where I got it from, I don't know. All I know is that I have never felt the slightest affiliation for SAFC, and suppoort NUFC as strongly as someone born on the steps of SJP.
