I assume you knew the ins and outs of Michu's game before we were linked with him? And I know it's a LONG time ago, but can you remember two years ago (like I say, before colour TV I think?) when the Netherlands side got to the final of some crappy tournament? They were terrible then.

Heavens knows why I thought having international caps for a team who were runners up of the World Cup was an achievement, when he could have one season at the top level. Clearly, one season at a top level is MUCH BETTER (which is the issue here - you making it seem as if the difference between them is akin to the difference between Rickie Lambert and ****ing Jamie Slabber) than caps for the World Cup finalists.

Spanish football is veeery different to English football, and I'm not sure that Michu would really fit into the team. Anyway, we'll see how well he does when he inevitably signs for Swansea. Lens looks like a very good player, and he plays in a position that needs filling, so yeah I'd be more excited about him.
 
I'm confused. One minute everyone is asking for a wide player with pace and trickery and then when we are linked with one (and one who has international caps for one of the best teams in the world without question) people are complaining that they would rather see us sign ANOTHER central midfield player (and one that by all accounts has no interest in defending).

The Michu deal reported in the press sounds good in terms of the goals he may bring Swansea and the cheap price but I'd much rather we go down the route of signing players to improve the team and give the squad balance than to overload a position we are already quite strong in or playing players out of position.

You need pace in the premierleague and we don't have it yet. This guy does.

No - one person is complaining because he's Michu's biggest fan (if you ignore the fact this is the first time he's spoken about Michu on here)

Hahahaha, I can feel the anger in your posts, very amusing.

And I assume you know the ins and outs of Lens' game? Four caps, I repeat FOUR caps for the Dutch. Wow. Yes they reached the world cup final. Was he an integral part? You tell me you seem to be the fountain of knowledge when it comes to Lens and the Netherlands.

Can you also tell me where I have posted that I wouldn't like to see Lens in a Saints shirt? Scored some good goals in the youtube video, but does that make him worth buying? Looks pacey and skilfull so I'm sure he has a lot of potential, but, if it's okay with you, my opinion is that I'd prefer Michu. :smiley-finger007: Have a nice day xx

Lens can take people on, is fast and can play on the wing. The times I have seen him he seems to be a player that needs confidence. As people have said we have more then enough CM's why buy another one?.

It's the kind of thing you see all the time - after disagreeing with someone long enough they pull out the old "you're angry because you disagree with me which means I'm better than you!" *patronising smilie/kisses* What is it with people assuming disagreements on the internet are always angry unless they're laden with stupid smilies?

Think you are pretty much spot on there mate. In my opinion GK and at least one CB is the priority. Two would be a bonus, but I think Seaborne in the 90minutes he has played has showed he could offer something. Would love to get someone like Lens that would be amazing but don't think it will happen.

Hadn't heard of Michu either before we reportedly became interested in him. I don't know the first thing about La Liga, Seria A or the Bundesliga either.
