When does the old site shut then, haven't been on there since February? Think they banned me for advertising this site anyway! Settled down nicely on this board now hasn't it- good stuff, have been busy lately but will try and post a bit more.
Apparently it's shutting down at the end of the current football season, so about May time I think. Which means we may get a few more members at that point, and maybe more for the prediciton league!
I far as I understand it shuts the week after the FA cup. Always nice to see new faces on here so hopefully May will bring us some more
For some reason this site seems to work very well, why I dont know, same people, but without the aggro.
That and everyone has been given a fresh start, which most have made good of. And most people are quite tolerant. The moderation has been excellent too, well done guys.
The only problem we had is starting to move on now, I think he's attached to 606 so he's left us alone. Now I've said that he'll probably turn up again with a few more accounts
Who is responsible for setting up this site, because I wish to congratulate them on a good job done, I struggled with it in my early days because I was used to the simplistic, however now I've managed to become relatively competant I think its technically brilliant, with superb features, to whom-ever 10 house points, great.

Nope wasnt me. As far as I know this site has been about for a year or so just as a football splinter site before the announcement of 606 closing. And then they decided to add other sports. There were a few members here in the F1 section before I came along. This is just what ive gathered.
The actual not606 site is down to MalteseMick, so he'd be the one to thanks. And Harper for England kicked off the posts on this board. I think me, him and Jose have been here the longest, closely followed by a few others.
I think it's mainly down to the fact IPs can be blocked, making it harder for WUMs to respawn. I think it was only one or two who trashed 606, but they were able to set up hundreds of accounts.
Well to whoever was responsible, well done, its a pleasure to be a member, thankyou. It now needs a few more trusty members to develop the topic base, in fact I dont mind up clever wind up as long as it aint bloody personal and outright rude.
I'm glad you all like it on here, and if you want to say a special thank you to someone I'd suggest Mick. This site isn't free to run for him you know. I feel that because the mods are active in the forums they moderate they can get a feel for a situation and do the sensible thing. Thats me done patting my own back
This was suggested by some mods on the other boards that maybe we should advertise this site on 606 in our user names, something like: <Your name> - Join Not606 or <Your name> - Not606 member something like that... Im not a member so I cant do it so its up to you guys if you want to. Best Regards, El_Bando
