Agree some of the Norwich posters are ok but they do have their share of 'anti QPR' posters.
I read a few of the posts on their board and that Beefforhire-NCFC bloke is a right prat. I don't know what swords said but i got warned when all i said was "6 fingered inbred freaks"?
I guess they are just a 'touchy' bunch.

I will agree "Beefforhire" does not help the cause whenever you guys do venture over to the "dark side" (to paraphrase Flyer). He is little different to your wum's to be honest. Left alone with his own supporters he is fine but just simply cannot engage with other clubs supporters. I can only suggest if any of you want to visit us to chat, block him first and you wont have to read his inane dribble <ok>

TBH Swordster you do persist in mildly homophobic jibes about Stephen Fry over there which are quite frankly boring / insulting / not even funny. I like a bit of 'debate' with the Norwich lads as we all do and I've even buried the hatchet with my favourite **** Cannary-Dave but you and that div 'Beef' are as bad as each other.

If you don't want to be banned don't go over there in the first place. You know this so I'm not sure what this sideshow thread is all about really?

I made a request to Beefforhire about his day rate as I have a badly inserted tampon ... no reply ... how rude. Unless Sword's ban is lifted he can't expect for me to put work his way can you?. By the way Sword's supports Liverpool and cross dresses in period costume most days

Swords, I have no personal prejudices with you. If someone says something you dislike or disagrees with you turn to bad language or accuse them of being drunk. thats what you do amongst 'friends' so god knows what you are like on other boards.

Sorry I will not join your personal crusade. this site is about football first and our club in particular. it is not Sword's domain.

Sorry, its nothing personal. Can we get back to the football.

It's all about self-indulgent attention seeking. The OP is the biggest load of bollox he's written since his last biggest load of bollox...

To be honest Thai when i first posted on your board (and i was not being a WUM) i got a load of stick. I then decided that your board was not worthy of a decent discussion. I then got warned about my conduct so I kept away. I then returned when I heard that PL and GH were leaving with valid information and once again got a load of stick?

I don’t know where all this dislike of QPR came from because 3 seasons ago you were in league One. You lot were very vocal on the old 606 about us getting a points deduction (in fact the worst if my memory is correct). It may also be because we now have rich owners who are prepared to spend and you have Delia?

I have said before that I have nothing against Norwich because they have never been part of QPR’s past.
I guess since Ipswich has ‘gone to pot’ your fans need another club to try and mock. That’s fine but if you can give it out you should learn to be able to take it back. <ok>

Warned, most likely for being classically derivative in your attempted put down. Boys, if you are going to give it, or in ellers case, try to give it, put a bit of thought into things - frankly some of your efforts are embarrassing... Ellers, dear boy, i do enjoy that you would write - that beef is a right prat - and then in the same sentence mention posting about inbred freaks (no doubt while looking around waiting for a congratulatory back pat)...pots and kettles lad...

Ellers, I don't really know where the animosity has come from. I only started using the old BBC 606 about half way through your Championship winning season and as far as I could see, it was already in place but it has certainly got worse on here.

You lot were very vocal on the old 606 about us getting a points deduction (in fact the worst if my memory is correct) - I would like to see the thread (It must be archived somewhere) as I really cannot recall our guys being any worse than any one else, and even then I am still fairly sure it was a very small minority. I do remember what I said, and it was not to the effect that I wanted to see a deduction. Even if I was to concede our fans were the worst, it all in the past and we are both currently in a better place.

Both sets of fans need to be able to draw a line under that past, move on and at least try to be sociable with each other but I know it's never going to happen because a fair percentage of football fans still think taking the piss is the right thing to do and even funny.

I have no particular dislike for your club either and it frustrates the life out of me that as football supporters, we cannot actually discuss something without someone taking exception to reading something they either disagree with or simply don't like.

A pat on the back is not my style, maybe you are thinking of yourself? As for my posting, and put a bit of thought into things i do and would never use something like classically derivative ? (i thought that was something to do with maths)?
I would simply say 'you are a muppet'. Makes things clearer. <ok>

Ipswich Mod in peace!

Swords, really feel for you fella, I myself have had run ins with Dave and while i think deep down he is a decent guy, he does get power mad. He even started to try and tell Hampy (the other mod) and myself on how to run our own board just because he didn't like us giving banter on there board, yet felt it was still ok for him to give it large on our board!

Also as a mod, he needs to keep his own house in check and treat everybody the same even the Norwich fans, Beefy gets away with murder with some of his comments, so the Norwich board is a bit of an unfair playing field. There is a certain kliq on that board that you all have to fall into there opinions if not, you are basically warned off!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Banter between fans is what keeps boards like this going, most of the Budgies are good guys but you have a certain few who can't take it but are very quick in dishing it out. did you guys know that on the old 606 site, because there were netural mods (i.e. the BBC) that because they kept stepping over the mark and post deleted they threw their toys out of their prams and created there own forum. prime example of a bunch of spoilt kids who want their cake and eat it.

Hopefully Syd, if you read this you will reverse the decision because the norwich board is a no go area unless you want to be verbally abused and a blind eye is turned, yet as soon as it is given back your banned quicker than Usain Bolt with his ass on fire.

Heres hoping you are reinstated swords.

Guru, regardless of what your personal feelings are (or anyone else's) it is worth bearing in mind, and as a moderator you should know this, Syd permits each board to be run the way those board moderators want to run it.

If they make rules and those rules are deemed to be broken and a ban is forthcoming, then that's it.

Nothing you or anyone says will change that.

That is why I at least try to show some respect when visiting other teams boards. If I cross the line of that board and get banned, then that is my own fault.

To start, or join in, some personal crusade to "make changes" on other teams board is futile and only serves to upset the apple cart even more.

Well said, TC.

The thing is, both of our clubs are on the rise, doing far better than we were a few seasons ago. Our fortunes and the route we have taken to get here have been vastly different, however.

Ours has definately been a roller-coaster, with massive excitement taking the place of despondency and fear, when we were taken over five years ago with what we thought would be a massive injection of cash. All we actually ended up with was a series of managers who didn't seem to have the collective nous to get us moving the right way, a board that, with notable exceptions didn't know their Arsenal from their El-Tel, ego trips abounding, huge upset and annoyance for the fans and no star names whatsoever. And the results still didn't come our way. It was only when Warnock was appointed that results on the pitch turned around, and then when Amit resigned and effectively forced the board into the sale of the club to Tony Fernandes a few months later, that our optimism returned - and all of this despite winning the Championship title in some style. Well, style would have been the word used had we not needed to wait whilst the Paladini / Faurlin saga was played out.

Norwich have played the slow, steady route to the Premier League, and as such haven't really put themselves above the parapet to get shot at in the way that QPR have. There's some upheaval now, after the loss of Paul Lambert and the potential loss of some of the players that helped you to a mid-table finish last year. There are no doubt a few squeaky bums wondering what effect this might have next season.

However, as I said - we have both survived the first season back in the PL, and are both facing the "difficult second album" with a mix of optimism and fear. But despite this, some people can't get excited about their own team's prospects and appear to be living in the past. Some QPR posters seem to think that we are still living under Tango and Cash, and doubt the sincerity and the aims of the board despite the evidence to the contrary. And some Norwich fans still see us as the big-spending, small-time london club, despite every signing bar two being on free transfers. And they just LOVE to remind the other team's fans about their shortcomings on any possible occasion. Where this comes from we all know, but why it is still around today beats me.

As we have recently seen in a high-profile court case, banter is banter, but overstep the mark and you will be censured. Some people, on both sides, would do well to remember that, the next time they pull the boots on and go a-wumming. And they shouldn't then expect sympathy when they go crying to their friends about the nasty Norwich boys taking the ball away.

Personally I think people should only be banned for constant immature trolling, we all like a bit of banter, I don't even mind creative trolling, but trolling to the point of spamming a board is not acceptable. I know the TC is not guilty of this so I'm not sure a ban was fair.

My point is, do the same rules apply to the norwich fans aswell as a visiting fan, and are they enforced to the same degree?

not being funny but any visiting fan to your board will straight away get abuse and cliche from Beefy, yet as soon as the the old cliche is thrown back, thats it a banned forum user! as a mod you should also try to keep your fans in check, i know i have pm'ed some ipswich fans in the past to tell them to chill it if they have over stepped the mark to visiting fans, can the same be said?

I have read through the offending posts, and while swords overstepped the mark a warning would have been better as the abuse was flowing from the other direction aswell rather than crying to teacher straight away!

I have already said in this thread, I agree about 'beefy', he does get away with far too much. I am frequently embarrassed by what he write to visiting fans (even the QPR guys) but alas it does work both ways and they end up feeding each other.

When I was a moderator, I did try to be consistent and even had SN23 banned for his major part in some wumming. I was effectively hounded out of the moderator role for it! Damned if you do, damned if you don't and to that end I can see why moderators tend to "look after their own" a little more. Not saying I agree with it but that is how it appears to be. You are lucky on your board, no-one (other than a handful of our guys) ever bothers to talk to you so you do not face the same issues as Dave and Maestro do.
