Ok, bit confused to why people are getting so angry so unsure whether to post this...

but I will, on the BBC website they are confirming what looks like a very good Swansea signing and looks a good un, so hopefully we can follow suit and get some bargains liek this:

"Rayo Vallecano accept Swansea's bid for midfielder Michu, according to reports in Spain. The Barclays Premier League side is believed to have made a two million euros bid for the 26-year-old, who scored 15 La Liga goals last season."

15 la liga goals for a midfielder!!!!!!! 2 million euros seems a bargain????

Michu - finally a good point from WLOH

I would have liked him, but we definitely have to start getting rid of midfielders to sign more... He's a quality player though especially at that price!

stick a '1' infront of your 2m euro valuation and you'll be closer to his value. seriously, he's easily a £6m+ player. no way will that offer be accepted

I dont understand how they got him so cheap.... Will be interesting to see how Laudrup gets on, I think Swansea will be Ok next season. Not impressed with Readings signings. Wigan look depleted and theres rumours theres already fallouts at WBA between odemwingie and Clarke. Those 3 will be down in my opinion

Think Mariappa and Gunter are good signings. Agree West Brom could struggle this season.

Have Reading signed Mariappa?!? Yeah, that isnt a bad signing.. Still think they'll struggle though. Although theres plenty of the window left.

Lots of talk about a wage cap. Didn't Mcnally actually state there wasn't one?

Re: Michu - believe it is the Administrators that have told the Rayo board to accept our bid. Will be over the moon if we get him. Will certainly ease the Siggurdsson woes.

Good luck for the season (and for the Snodgrass purchase, have always rated him)

there is one. it might be an unwritten one but they are very careful with the wages these days so they don't get out of hand again.

    It's the difference between:

    a) There is a Wage Cap

    and

    b) As individual contract negotiations occur there is an internal set of guidelines that defines an informal threshhold level which would obviate any possible opportunity to pay someone above a level that might prove detrimental to the long-term interests of NCFC.
