Apologies if it's been done already but the rumours are persistent so thought I'd check what fellow redmend thought about the prospect of us buying Theo.

The prospect of having pacey, tricky forwards is a pleasant one, regardless of who it turns out to be....we've not had that for some time and I like what i'm hearing - albeit hearsay...

Whether it turns out to be Walcott is another thing altogether - I'd be surprised if he didn't go somewhere with CL football.

Looks like Carroll will be the one who goes too - thank god for his England goal; probably added £5-10m onto the asking price! Feel sorry for the lad, we didn't play to his strengths at all during Kenny's reign - not his fault at all.

    Thoughts, opinions?

Is this the same Theo Walcott that Arsenal fans condemned many times last season for disappearing in games and not delivering? Let me just check with car KITT....

Looking very camp there today Zing <ok>

Not sure about Theo...in fact I am sure...he'll cost us a lot for a guy who has pace, a poor touch, can't cross very well and a tiny footballing brain. An athlete in footballers clothing.

Love it Zingy, right up my street I want to hear more from KITT.

I think Walcott would cost too much.

One rumour on twitter is the #AFC have accepted a bid of £9 Million from #LFC for Walcott, but simultaneously there is a rumour stating #AFC turned down a £25million bid from Chelsea. I would expect both to be incorrect, but the Chelsea rumour is completely ludicrous while the liverpool oone seems mildly more realistic.

My personal belief is that he would be a good signing, the stats don't lie; Only 4 players (Nani, Silva, A Young & van Persie) have assisted more PL goals than Theo Walcott in the past two seasons. And in the last two seasons from the winger has scored 24 goals in 84 appearances- also a very good return. He may go missing in some games, but on his day he can be lethal

Definitely not, maybe we can give them Downing for enquiring...an apology/compensation per se for bothering them about Theo. <ok>

Stats? But...but....stats do lie. They were probably sideways or backwards assists any muppet could've made, therefore the goals don't count.[/sarcasm stat]

But yeah, a pacy winger like Heighway to knock it in for the big lad Toshack....oh, hang on, I think I see a flaw in the plan....

He's still in the game, actually. But we don't use tall blokes now.

Don't forgot what happened the last time we played, we won by a draw. <ok>

Theo would certainly add pace and the odd game but his consistency bothers me. Is it him? Is it not having a proper run in the team? Not sure on that one, also depends on the price.

for me walcott is a flop..... every time he runs hard for about 5 games he rips a hammy... for 50% of games he hides out on the wings and waits form someone to gift wrap a pass to him

had he not scored an england hat trick he'd not even be talked about.

I'd love to see how thse assist stats break down according to arsneal playing big sides or small fry... i get the feeling walcott only turns up at home and v weaker sides.

walcott = no no... chamberlain = yes please.

If we had to pick a winger in the league to sign, I would 100% pick Valencia, I think he ticks all the boxes and has an awesome attitude.

I agree with you on Walcott Mito, now let's go get Di Maria <ok>

Let's get someone, FFS. Maybe we are waiting to sell Carroll before buying. It certainly looks that way. Well c'est la vie. Let's hope we get a good right winger...and maybe a good left one, too! ;)
