http://www.thefa.com/News/team-gb/team-gb-warm-up-mexico.aspx A short article reporting on a pre tournament game
This country is on its aris and we the taxpayers are sending the English under 23 side out to marbella on a jollyboys outing, absolutely disgraceful.
Have any of our lads on here bought any of the 10 tickets that have been sold for the game at the mill stad,
Funnily enough Mabs it was me. There is myself and 8 mates going and we've got one spare with your name on it if you want it. !!!!!!!! I'm waiting to see how rude the response will be
Team GB are on live on BBC this friday night v Brazil. I take it you won't be watching then Mabon ? Coronation st, pobol y cwm and ice road truckers are some alternatives for you. Better than watching paint dry. I tried that recently and it's mind numbingly boring, you may have seen it on tv yourself it was on as it's other name "Cardiff City in the playoffs"
Looking forward to it all to be honest, and Mabon I know you are against this, but calling the players a bunch of tossers is very sad, really you should grow up how old are you honestly ? If you are so against try and discuss it like an adult not a petulant child throwing your toys out of the pram, really you should be setting an example now that you moderate this forum
I'm also really looking forward to it. To think that Wales would lose it's footballing independence over a few games is paranoid and daft. Rugby has done it for years with the Lions. I'm chuffed that there are Welsh players in the team, and I fully support all players in team GB.
My take is that Mabon considers the tossers to be England U23's and not our players. He is entitled to his opinion, mod or not. Personally I do not trust the likes of Blatter and Platini one bit and am concerned about all this business. I just hope that none of our players pick up any injuries in this and I find it incredible that any yellow and red cards picked up would carry over into Welsh international games. Let's hope the worst doesnt happen
From previous threads it is the Welsh players he considers as tossers. And yes he is entitled to his opinion the same as us, but calling people tossers because he doesn't agree with them partaking in the Olympics is juvenile and childish. Argue your point of course which he he and I have done previously, but lets not resort to name calling And these are the thoughts of the tossers as Mabon calls them http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18865819 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18760095 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18834155 And Coleman's view http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18786036
Well I don't consider them tossers Valley especially our players. One o our "fans" maybe but not our players. Funny how "he" came back last week with another depressing thread wasn't it mate?
Valley i could think of much worse than call them tossers, which is exactly what i think they are, if giggs had shown the welsh team the loyalty he has shown this team which may i remind you is only Team GB in name but is in fact the english under 23 side, he even wants this team to carry on in the next olympics, so others can have the same chance, well i don't think he was thinking about our Welsh youngsters having a chance to play for the country of their birth, when he made that statement, so in my eyes calling him a tosser is mild. The biggest surprise for me was that he actually turned up for their friendly with Mexico, he rarely turned up for us. Throwing my toys out of the pram,i don't think so mate. Lets hope i don't have to come on here and utter the words i told you so.
Mabon I want the team to carry on in the following Olympics, but its not going to happen unless there are wholesale changes in the qualification of the games. That I believe could have an effect on the home nations. And its not an english side at all, it would be a side of of all the nations if the scottish and NI players were good enough to be in the last 18. And its a bit sad that you can't get behind your country in the olympics, as its not just the football there are lots of other sports there and we have I think about 40 Welsh people competing which is fantastic. This is fantastic opportunity to have our country in a positive light instead of the usual anti british because of the war in iraq and afghan amongst others. Can't wait for it all to begin.
