I'll be sorry to see him go, I rate him highly.

Did not get the service last season, hope Malky has a Centre Forward lined up.

They probably offered him and Malky to much money to turn down they throw money at players. you can bet theat we didn't make a loss on him, so thats a bit more in the kitty for big wages if necessary. But if he goes it means one step forward and one step back with our strikers (If thats what they are) unless of course Malky knows someone else is coming. <whistle>

Part of MMs challenge is getting the balance of the squad right. Millar, Earnie, Mason and Etien are all similar in the spaces they take up on the field. Only Rudy gives us something different.

Similarly, the midfield has Whitts, McPhail, ralls and Mutch as the ball players, Kiss and Gunner as the ball winners (no Taiwo who's off) and Cowie and Conway with no real width.

It's not now about the number of players, but the balance in the squad.

fulham are in a better position than albion, better squad, more established.

if they stump up £4m or so then thats good money for him, any less tell them to feck off.....<ok>

Slight aside from our transfers, but Forrest are taking their time over a new manager. This could backfire as their 'new man' will miss a chunk of pre-season and may struggle for signings. At least it'll stop them signing whitts again.

Hi remote.

Yes indeed. Mind you, if they get the "big name" they say they are after, they may attract some big name players later on. Makes it all the more important that our new squad is bedded in and can hit the ground running. A flying start could be critical for us.

, if they get the "big name" they say they are after,

Hi Cling, hope all is well.

They're supposedly speaking to Mick McCarthy. Good manager, but not someone who I think would attract 'big names'.

I'm hoping that we'll get off to a good start having had more than 14 professionals on the first day of pre-season, so ahead of last season already.

Are you still thinking of attending the Cheltenham game?

Probably nonsense, but I heard they want Harry!

Yes, still going mate. A couple of Cheltenham fans are taking me, so we'll probably have a bit of a rumble first!:emoticon-0116-evilg

I've one thing workwise to sort to ensure I'm in Cheltenham that evening, so hoping to go. Will PM if I can make it. I'll stand you a pint.

Radio this morning said Maradona was in the frame for Forest. Can't wait for that, light the blue touchpaper and retire.

McCarthy is a better choice though as he knows how to get sides out of this league. Also talk about Glenda - he'll go down well there - not!!!

Stand Clingo a pint - will Clingo stand after a pint?
