Not really advocating Bruce out.He deserves the opportunity to reach our aim of top ten this season.

It's just that I felt the esteemed and revered author of this article was trying to take the wee wee out of more gullible posters. Well thats my story...

What I'm trying to say is that if Steve Bruce has to go, I would hope they get in a better manager with a proven record who will instill confidence not only in the players but the fans as well, a manager that we know we will improve under & not go back to the old days of losers & stop gaps (Adamson, McMenemy, Buxton and so on), a manager who will attract top players themselves because they have great odds of winning under him & will make the rest of the premier league look upon us in a degree of envy, thats what it takes to sell tickets & get bums on seats
 
Stick with Bruce..................................Sam Allardyce is looking for work and I wouldn't wish him on anybody, not even you lot.

Well that's not strickly true, it would be bloody funny if you were to get him, but what I am trying to say is that sometimes it is better the devil you know.

mr short bought it for loose change at 23 million.

it is alledged that mrs short once threatend to shoot a couples dogs for walking across the estate,

so if that's mrs short, never under-estimate what a mr short is willing to do if things are not working out, and doesn't get his money's worth

If I thought you were having a pop at the 911 tragedy,cuteybuns, I would be well up for kicking your arse.But I know your just bantering my handle"mackem911"which causes no offence whatsoever.

I was in G'town,Washington on the day and all I saw was smoke billowing from the Pentagon.Been back to ground zero in New York twice since then and not ashamed to admit I wept on both ocassions.Mackem911 is just my way of remembering the good "Paddies"/Brits and more who died on the day and since.Cheers mate.

No rest assured, mate, I'm not sick enough to have a pop at something like that. It was a joke and nothing else.
 
Skibo Castle for 23 million. Could have had the whole of Newcastle for that. Mr. Short will definately think twice about giving Brucie a boat load of cash after not making any progress after 2 seasons. I like Bruce and wouldn't mind if he stayed. But Steve Bruce isn't asking me for 30 million. If he was I might just well tell him to bugger off.
 
Syd, all I would ask is how well have we been playing without him.

His sale has sowed the seeds of doubt into the players minds, "am I next", "should I do a Benty" &"where my agents phone number", their heads are not in the right place and we are seeing the results.

If he was offered more money he would have been happy - now we are seeing the net results of a small club mentality - we reverted to type instead of doing what Man Utd did with Rooney(was he banging the goals in?) and Man city with Teves.

I think we are all forgetting just how much we relied on Bent - how many points he got us - is it any wonder we have done so badly since he went?
 
Well I dont agree with what Man U did with Rooney, No player is bigger than the club, and if he spits his dummy out because he wants more money, then why did he sign the contract for what he is on to start with (then change his mind a year later), its bye bye for me.

Our players would not offer much sport for mrs S Commachio, sitting ****ing ducks at the moment
