The cream rose to the top again this week when Stick again took out L1, to make it back to back wins. Ron put in another good job to take second from Percy. L2 went to Smokin who beat off Ardent. L3 was a lean old affair. Reebs cracked the only winner. Best score of the day went to Stick. Onya mate.

So who's going to walk the walk then? Ardent could be the one to look out for, but then again 7 of the 8 in L1 are in with a real shot. :)

Cyc, you know I have set my sights on three in a row for a couple of months now. It's going to happen. My Friday night social life is shot and the missus is talking about going to RELATE but hey you need to have priorities right?!?!?

    League 1

Stick - POET - Mud lover who has put together a couple of good wins but only due to others not handling the testing conditions. Will be exposed at this level on better ground.

Ron - SOS BRILLANTE - Not up to this level but continues to run and the odd time will fluke a decent result scooping prize money. Owners should be ashamed to keep him at this level every week.

Percy - HYPER - A yank horse who turned up at Ascot with loads of 1's next to his name - however has looked rubbish in this country and has it all to prove now in training with Boyle.

Cyc - ORTENSIA - Reputation high following decisive Meydan victory but can get a bit worked up and has been outclassed in two recent outings. Expect to see him relegated soon.

Steveo- TREASURE BEACH - Promising sort as a 3yo but form tailed off and looked out of his depth last time out in Grade 1 company having been sent off around the even money mark. Drop in class required.

Smokin - NEW HAMPSHIRE - Temprament often lets him down and to be honest is probably short of this class anyway. Can grab a fluky result if given an easy lead.

Ardent - DUBAI PRINCE - Looked such a promising type when he burst on to the scene but had disappointed a few times since. Back with a win last time out and interesting for the future.

RV - FRANKEL - Superstar 3yo who has swept all aside on his rise up to league one. Looks set to go up in distance and he will probably remain unbeaten against this lot.

Ron - SOS BRILLANTE is clearly reveling in this heavy going, just as he did as a youngster in his footballing days. The intention was to get down to a good handicap mark but he has surprised (and annoyed) his owners with successive above average performances in L1. With an objective of dropping to L3 asap, the owners may have to resort to restraining tactics (blind folding is not out of the question). Some poor performances look imminent.

Australian bookmakers are in serious trouble after pricing up FRANKEL at 125-1 for the Sussex stakes at Glorious Goodwood. They promised to honour the price to the clever punters who managed to spot the bizarre error - Connections have said "he will sweep them all aside - this will be impressive"

    BUMPER PAYOUT DAT !!!! <laugh>
