There is nothing negative about replacing a player with a better one. People like you seem to think any player or manager leaving is negative and the end of the world. You fail to see that we are a club on their way up. We have to keep replacing players and managers with better players and managers in order to progress. If Allen leaves we will get someone better. What on earth is negative about that? I can see the positive but you can only see the negative. You need help. If we stuck with the same players we'd still be in League Two. I want to see us in Champion League, so lots of players will need to be replaced over the coming seasons. That is good not bad. You still see us as small time, which is what I think your problem is.

If every man and his dog knows about Joe's desire to follow Rodgers then why isn't it public knowledge I'm sure news like that would be discussed in the wider footballing community ,don't forget we're a small club where I bet you there's more people than you think that have access to players/staff <whistle>.Don't forget Joey was here before Rodgers so the tenuous link that say Glyfi/Scott have with Rodgers isn't the same as Joe may have had

Who have Liverpool got in Allen's position? So why the need for Allen? If there are better player's in his position, then why are Liverpool supposedly after Allen! The point is this Casual, It's not negative to want to keep your best players, and I don't know of many teams in the Premiership who have got a better player than Allen, in the midfield, other than the top 4, so to lose Allen would be a costly issue for the club to replace, besides I rate him as pivotal to our game, as I do Britton, you clearly don't get it, being a Cardiff wum!.............. <ok>

If we can get £10 million for him i would fly him up there myself.....Its silly money for a player who blows hot and cold...he is not the best we have ever had and there are better out there....If he wants to go then send him on his way...

Really hope we can keep little Joe. Every season goes by & you wonder how far this lad can go. I think it's almost five years ago since I saw him play a blinder against then 'Premier league' Reading in the Carling cup & it was plain to see what a special talent we had!! To this day, I still wonder how much more we can get out of him??!! Especially now, when we have the perfect opportunity to find out, Michael Laudrup!! I personally feel he's not for selling. He's also become a regular starter for our National team, so the more he's playing football at the highest standard, the better it is for Wales too. Would hate to see him leave, but more than that, would hate to see him leave & possibly end up 'warming' some other clubs bench!! We all want the academy & the possible 'supply-chain' of quality local talent. The effect of young local lads seeing they could possibly become a future 'Joe Allen', must be priceless too.....

Read that article before & feel as proud now, knowing 'our' club nurtured that talent, as I did then... <cheers>

Claridge is the butt of many people's jokes, but he clearly knew what he was talking about when he penned that article. Fair play to him.

Sometimes I really do wonder what you watch , no he's probably not the best we've ever had (whats that got to do with the present I really don't know) but he's the best we've got now. It was his first season in the PL and you think he's the finished product ,he'll get better and and hopefully with us. Still waiting for your proof that he wants out , provide it and I'll be the first to admit I was wrong

come on he is no superstar yet....he may be one day but with a big club and not a small club like ours. we train them thats all and if they show promise then a big club will come in for them...he will never get super star status with a club like ours...nobody will thats why they eventually want to move on to a bigger club...17 million pfft..what you smoking....

Who have we had that's better, other than Bodde? come on Dai spit it out, this I got to hear! and Casual what midfielder had Joe in his pocket last season, answers on a postage stamp please. I remember when Britton went to Sheff, Dai was going on about better players out there, then when he was on his way back, it was 'we don't need him we have moved on' and the same ignorance is being displayed again by Casual and Dai, Do you guys really understand our midfield game? because if you do, then you'd understand the negative effect it would have on our game to lose any one of these two players, silly season it is...................... <ok>
