Disappointed to heard this from Howard. He was lucky to be part of a Championship side for so long. He was used, albeit as a super sub. Does he really think Hartlepool will play him for 90 mins every match?
Can understand what Howard means. When you get to that age, you just want to play football on a regular basis. He will have enough in his bank account not to worry about who pays him what. Enjoy the football Steve, and thanks once again for that last minute bullet header against dirty leeds.
It just gets worse for them. Feel gutted for their supporters. Seems to happen every season. We all shat ourselves when we went into admin, and it was only the diligent work of the trust, some ex players, and MM (with a little help from M Adams) that eased our pain. We could have gone down the same road.
I think its a disgrace how the football league have done this. Havent Pompey been punished enough, because of the point deduction last season they got relegated and probably would have stayed up comfortable if they didnt get a points deduction. They are struggling to survive and it comes out today they cant keep any of their senior players and now the football league do this. It reminds me what they did to Luton a few years back. They deducted them 10 points one year and then 30 points the next. It completely ruins the integrity of the divison.

It was on ssn earlier that the Bradford Bulls are nearly gone, all their staff have been made redundant and they are volunteering now. Tommorow they are selling all their stock from the club shop for around cost price to get some money in. Sport creates jobs and makes money for no end of people and business, its one of the biggest things in the country and with the olympics here the government should be doing more to help it now ruin it.
