Twf'y, I am worried about your health after this post! Now, it may be that some of the comments last night got to you, or, you are feeling ill! If it is the first, then you should have seen my post regarding that, and, I would have thought you should be used to dealing with it! If it is the second, contact your Doctors surgery immediately, and, if they are closed, they will direct you to the nearest walk-in centre! I do hope you will be feeling better soon!!
I'd never change my opinions because of somebody I'll never meet's insult. Just looking at the table though, when I realised we could've been two points off the play-offs if we'd have won, then it hit home that we could, and I stress could, do it. I still don't think we will but I'm not writing it off completely. Rest assured I've only had this slight change of heart because Barmby's injured.
I show genuine concern for your state of mental/physical health, and all you can do is show vitriol in the direction of Nickie Barmby (praise be his name!). I will remember in future not to worry about your well-being!
I really don't give a toss, the seasons been brilliant considering the state we were in. I'm just thankful to Mr Allam. I'm thankful we have Mr Nigel Pearson leading the club. I'm thankful we have the backroom staff capable of spotting the talent. I'm thankful Mr A Pearson recruited these people (and stopped signing players!). I'm thankful that we've got a bunch of young, hungry, talented players. Hey I'm just plain happy with what's happening. I honestly don't think we are good enough to go up just yet, I'll be happy if we take it to the last game of the season and end up above TWS. If we are in the same place next season, and have got rid of the over paid, journeymen I'll be even happier. I suspect we'll be higher and I hope we'll have real potential to be contenders... UTT
we won't be far off but it's not just us vs Leeds, there are 5 clubs in with a sniff so the odds are against us.. one game at a time..
This is just a depressing thread, we are third at the moment and I am going to enjoy that. I will take each game at a time and will not give up until it becomes clear we cannot be in the top 6. After Tuesday night a lot of people were saying we could actually win the league and now apparently we will finish 10th!. I don't know who is right and who is wrong but I refuse to be down now. Come the end of the season if we are still in the Championship then I certainly will be because I wonder how many of our players will want to stay and I wonder what Mr Allam's reaction will be, will he just think we are a lost cause and lose interest. Looking forward to Saturday now.
We can still take 2nd spot. Watford have it at the moment but it's proved to be a difficult position to hold for every team that's occupied it so far. Let's see how they deal with worrying about being caught instead of being focussed on doing the catching. As for City, we needed two strikers before the window and that still leaves us one short. Bringing Simpson off the bench yesterday when we needed a potent striker exposed the biggest flaw in our squad.
Watford done well in February and Zola to get the dreaded (by some) manager of the month award. Bad month in March then looms for the Hornets. heads up fixtures:- tuesday 2nd April Watford @ Hull City and saturday 6th April Watford home to Cardiff. March looks a key month for the top 2 slots.
